Dont get me wrong, I want pegasus to get a pro-conti spot, I think its good for the sport and good for australian cycling.

But, ive been one of those all along who has considered Chris White to be a muppet. The situation isnt funny, but he is. I do wonder if the sponsors are losing faith in him a little bit. He has a bit of the case of the man who tried to sell the eiful tower about him.

White loves to talk **** up. Half of what he said over the last two months are more than likely lies. It's just a way for him to talk up his team for the sponsors.

I think he talked up the sponsor and it's backfiring on him. I doubt anything is signed yet regarding this multi million dollar sponsor.

That's a bit extreme but I personally think something happened to the sponsor or one of the sponsors around the time of the worlds and White used the excuse of the Alberto Contador case to put off announcing the sponsor when really he needed more time to get the sponsor ready.

White needs to talk it up because he wants people to become interested in the whole "first australian pro team" process.

He has made a bit of a mess of it though.

Slightly OT, but I rode with Robbie McEwen, Jono Cantwell, and Daryl Impey this morning. All three appeared really nice with no superiority complex, and I've also noticed that local cyclists here don't get star struck either (unless Lance Armstrong appeared). Then again I had about four hours sleep and with a hangover as well.

Federal government paid 3 million dollars for the trip but it was here idea also to come over here and she is paying for most of it i think.

She's is filming some shows at the Sydney Opera House tonight and all the audience of that show are going around Australia doing things toursits would do in Aus.

Oprah has been around Aus also doing tourist stuff, meeting people, eating, having sex with her lesbian friend (just joking!):D

Well not quite. We have a purpose built road/crit circuit that is used for racing and every Saturday morning (unless the weather is really dire) a training ride is held with people split in different grades wrt to their ability etc., for nearly an hour. This has been held on the GC for around 30 years (although a good 25 years were held at a different location). There would of been a good 20 or so of us. And most weekend's I ride past McEwen's house which has just been built, a 3-story building near the beach. Say what you like about him, but he has done well for himself financially.

the team seems to be a hoax ala ferretti's team some years ago. as of yesterday according to hln paper all pegasus riders have been put out for transfers by their managers.

anyone seen matt white hanging from a tree yet??

And the beauty of riding for sky means that your race finishes 1km earlier than everyone elses so by the end of the season you'll be less burned out. Marginal gains and all that.....
