What do u mean - being wise after the event? I've never been a fan of White and his double standardized approach to management. I echo the comments from an other thread about how ironic this collapse is for the team. As sad as it is for most of the riders on the team, I'm sure McEwan is not hurting for $$.

There are a couple of guys on the team that I think Karma truely has played a role in their current situation. For the record , they are both Australians.

McEwan might not be short of a few bucks but that doesn't mean he should be in the position he is now. I've never heard of Chris White and don;'t know about what he might have done in the past so pleas enlighten us.

By 'wise after the event' I mean why come forward now with stories and experiences bout white when you could have done earlier and maybe put the whole debacle into a bit of perspective.

I think we all know what a monumental taks it would of been for white to find a sponsor. Especially with the coverage and the time zone factor it would of been extremely hard to get an australian sponsor. We all know that the sponsors need to see some sort of advantage for there business when investing in a team. The challenges would of been immense fro White.

But when you lie and lie about what hasand is happening then you lose all erspect and credibility. Come out chris and tell the public what has happened. A bit of hype for the team is fine but don't count your chickens before they hatch because the chickens have certainly not turned out well for you.

Well, you could argue that the difference between a cyclist who lies and cheats is that he doesn't make as much money as a businessman, who follows a similar code.
CW appears to have been telling some major porkies to a lot of trusting folks, some of whom are in the same trade as MR.

ACF - Cantwell isn't good enough to win in europe. I'm not disrespecting the NRC series but i don't think Cantwell could repeat that type of success in europe.

If anything, i'd like to see Trent Lowe find a team - i think he's still got a lot to offer as a domestique

There's a fair number of useful riders there. McEwen obviously, Tuft, Traskel and Robbie Hunter as well. Some of their Milram leftovers could be useful too.

Rassmussen is looking for riders. This is quite opportune for him and his team although it's not on the Pro Continental level.

Didn't Lucas Sebastian Haedo dominate the NRC sprints in 2009? If Cantwell's close to that standard he could make a useful addition to a leadout train and take lead sprinting duties at the least sprinty stage races, like Catalunya, and some smaller stage races like Wallonie, more or less trying to replicate what Russell Downing did for Sky coming from the national calendar.

Many many instances over the years.

Richie Porte won the Tour of Tasmania in 2008. After one of the stages, Whitey didn't congratulate Porte and be humble in defeat. No no. He went up to Porte and basically called him a blatant cheat and carried on like a pork chop. What was surprising is apparently he offered Porte a contract for next year like he did other big name riders. I mean, how dumb is he? Does he really think the person he called a cheat and basically said he didn't deserve a win a couple years ago would sign with him?

White also has burnt a lot of riders/staff. Once they give him what he wants, he tosses them out like garbage. No thanks for their work. Nothing. He promises the riders a lot of things so they sign with him. He doesn't deliver his promises and suddenly they have wasted a year or two of their cycling career going nowhere when they were promised they would.

He pressures people to sign with him by offering them a lot and then failing to deliver. It would be a shame if some of the younger riders who fell for his lies this year got burnt by him down the track and it affected their careers.

The following I heard from a reliable source in October and I have followed it up and it's been confirmed. I've heard this from the race organisers and officials who were there.

There was a race a couple years back. The organisers screwed up the teams classification and gave it to Fly V when it was supposed to go to someone else. White knew it. Anyway he got up on stage and accepted the award when he knew he didn't win it and got the cheque. He didn't say it was a mistake, he just ran with it. Over the coming days White refused to give back the money. The race organisers had to physically cancel the cheque because he wouldn't give it back to them. This delay resulted in the riders in question being paid months later than they should have been.

White does not care about riders welfare nor does he care about anyone else other than himself and his pocket. The way he conducts himself behind the scenes and the way he runs things is a joke.

There is no link to any of this, there is no proof. Do the groundwork, do the research, go to local races and be there to witness it and you will find out for yourself.

It will be a shame if Pegasus fold. A shame for the riders and staff that they got sucked in by CW. I would feel sorry for them and hope they find a team.

It wouldn't be a shame for Chris White.

Won 47 races in the past two years. Not saying he will dominate but he surely will get some placings in races. Don't underestimate the NRC.
