ok get ready stage 1 is THE Penultimate Stage with beast of a man at the front with his suitcase full of courage looking like a one certain lance Armstrong riding like a man possessed making the other go backwards until the elastic has snapped in the heart of the cycling world in this place they call France ingratiating himself among the lords of state during the heat of summer all over his machine as he puts the exclamation point his legacy and you can bet now he has alarm bells ringing inside the peloton as sanchez has lost big time on the descent.
these guys actually write fiction and believe themselves to be true
no thank you
ill be watching with the stereo on thumping a fat beat for sure

As Tom Boonen sat on the ground after his crash, and had already been identified by the dynamic duo. Once he had his helmet removed, he became unrecognizable to the duo. And Sherwen started repeating that if it were Boonen that we were looking at, he should be recognizable by the world champion stripes on his sleeves. Meanwhile, it was plain to see the world champion strip that was on his sleeves. After a little back and forth betwwen our intrepid commentators... Finally, Phil announced that it was, in deed, Tomke. Thank goodness they figured that one out!!!
Meanwhile, over on Eurosport, they had started their broadcast day before the peloton was given the start flag, while the blokes over on the other station were busy doling out their inane predictions. Long live Eurosport!

argyllflyer said:Dunno, Sky already have a cozy relationship with Eurosport, with Eurosport programming occasionally being promoted on Sky's website. I got an email from Sky advertising a Sean Kelly / David Harmon preview of P-R.

Eurosport calls itself the home of cycling; I'm not totally convinced Sky - despite their obvious connections to UK cycling - want greater involvement. If they did, they'd do it well though.
Caruut said:If Sky were to cover cycling, they would mainly want the main events - classics and decisive stages on stage races. Since these are mostly at weekends, when Sky generally broadcasts its flagship sports programs, I can't see why Sky would want to launch it. The current arrangement works well.

Should be about now that Paul starts digging into his suitcase full of bullsh*t.....

Captain Sensible said:Sky could just start another chanell up for cycling up just as they did for F1 if they wish.

how do you tolerate them? One could apply to the management of their TV company and ask to remove dilettantes from on air.
DirtyWorks said:Long ago and far away they were pretty good.
Given all the idiotic things they've had to say to build a myth, they've sacrificed any kind of propriety a long time ago and the UCI would reward that choice with more airtime.
