Eufemiano a la jueza: "Si usted quiere que le revele el nombre de mis pacientes, lo hago". Silencio en la sala

The fact that this was not acted on at this time means this whole court case is a total sham. A silenced judge is just an actor missing the line for a unrehearsed line.

Well it started off well but then he lied as well as he could. Who takes out a pint of blood if not two for "tests"? That was a ton of blood for one test, ok two anemia and hyperviscosity (yea you never heard of it most likely, as it reads you have thick blood due to increased number of cells red or white or other weird proteins). Hypervicosity in athletes who have already been training & competing and are not pro? Yea, that only happens when they raise their hematocrit :rolleyes:

Tyler Hamilton was added to the witness list, oh yea :cool:

Matschiner weighs in: http://www.zdf.de/ZDFmediathek/beit...600/Das-Matschiner-Interview-in-voller-Laenge

I do not have the time to translate everything, maybe another german speaking user will bother (sniper?). Main points:

- Matschiner looked after former Fuentes clients
- Based on his own trial thinks that only very few facts leaked
- Doping world is very, very small
- These were football (soccer), tennis and track&field ahtletes as well as cyclists
- These former clients also name other sports such as Formula 1 (who will that be...? :D :D :D)
- Will not name names for legal reasons

Journalists, make Matschiner talk! And wth is there Eurosport running in the background in a ZDF clip?

Link? Interested in the background.

Insider?

~ Crusader.

Im purely well read on the subject and am a huge sports fan, i have pieced together alot of little snippets and am 99% sure the two players i name and tennis player worked with him.

The fifa cover up has been widely discussed by WADA who cant understand only going after the cyclists

nice link. sound summary! nothing to add :)

Interesting bit about Formula 1.
So much for putting Fernando Alonso forward as evidence that Spain's golden sport era cannot be attributed to PEDs.
:rolleyes:

Sergi López-Egea is reporting from the courtroom.

A couple of tweets stand out.

@sergi_lopezegea
Eufemiano: "Es imposible incurrir en un error en la identificacion de las muestras sangre"

"It's impossible to make a mistake on identifying blood samples"

@sergi_lopezegea
Eufemiano: "El deporte alta competición es dañino porque perjudica la salud y provoca entre otras cosas anemia"

"Sports of high competition are damaging to athlete's health because, among other things, produce anemia"

Lol - he should have tweeted "Sports of high competition are damaging to athlete's health because, among other things, produce amnesia"

HCT != total hemoglobin mass, even the most stupid judge/attorny should be able to find this out. But then again, the pharmaceutics in that suitcase were property of a dead person and those few EPO syringes were his daughters...

Fuentes is hilarious.

LOL! :D

Eufemiano is dismissing Manzano by saying he never dealt with him because he was a cocaine user.

@rubenmartinweb
DIRECTO: Eufemiano Fuentes: "No he tratado nunca a Jesus Manzano. El me pidio que lo tratara, pero le dije que no porque consumia cocaina".

this first tweet sounds interesting. Leaves the Spanish court with few(er) arguments to deny WADA access to the bloodbags. I believe one of the arguments to deny that access was because WADA would supposedly never be able to reconstruct to whom the different bloodbags belong.

Why do Heras and all the guys keep silent? Only ex-riders like united front could change this situation. Why the hell can't Saiz tell anything. The man was harshly kicked away out of big cycling. In terms of doping, he was not worse than any of big directeurs sportif, however exactly Saiz turned out to be a scapegoat. Why no one has enough honor to say anything??

It's widely believed Heras DID say plenty and that's part of why he's been so thoroughly blacklisted. Don't know the details though.

So far we've seen Fuentes use the cancer card, blame certain stuff on a dead associate and dismiss Manzano as a cocaine addict, all while flaunting the fact that he could bring Spanish sport down and that the judge and the attorneys don't want him to go there. The guy's a gem.

On one hand, Fuentes denies treating his clients with EPO, and says the blood transfusions were done for 'health reasons', on the other hand, he says he can bring the Spanish sport down.
Well, you have to remember the trial is not about doping. The blood transfusions would be legal under then-current Spanish law if they were done in adequate conditions, but they would still be an antidoping violation. Even without admitting to administering EPO to his clients, if he were to say he did blood transfusions to, say, Nadal and a couple of top football teams, that would still cause an earthquake.

No wonder. It looks like he was called 'El Importante' not only among sportsmen, but in an authoritative circle too. :)
