Curiously enough, I believe this topic hasn't been this active in quite some time...XD

You know..I think I only scored 6 points, not 9...(Having Andy Schleck and Cunego, but both misplaced)....Or is there something I missed?

Sorry, operator error - the programme is fundamentally perfect, it just does not allow for people who cannot type:eek:

I've edited it now.

Ah, yes. Typing. A very challenging occupation. :p
But it's no problem really, just pointing it out.

La Doyenne next...It's going fast at the moment..XD

Hey Guys, had an unplanned week out of the country, but am back online now, not sure who to send picks to for L-B-L. Think I have missed some events but still in it.

Bluebeard you seem to be looking after it for Merckx so will send to you, if I am wrong please let me know.

Cheers

But I don't even trust myself to have a credit card, how could I be trusted with something far more important than any amount of cash:D

I just was filling in for the day seeing as I already had something set up to generate scores from another prediction league (absolutely nothing complicated, trust me), and when I saw the predictions up I thought I'd be a good samaritan like Marshan before me. Anything I get I'll send on to Merckx, and if there is a list put up, or sent to me, I'll calculate the scores (please do be vigilant, if for I make error). What with Merckx in exams, this is probably one thing he does not need on his plate, though I would say everything is unofficial until Merckx has verified it.

Meanwhile, I'll get mine into Merckx before I look at lookkg386's selection clearly, or anyone else's for that matter.

*note to self: don't trust Bluebeard with any valuables*;)

And Bluebeard. Don't worry to much about the erorrs. We're all human. We make mistakes.
The effort alone is greatly appreciated...

Now..Who to pick for La Doyenne...

Thank you very much to everyone who helped me out this past week. (Still not out of the clear, have 2 exams left - Monday/tuesday) In any case, the first page was updated, along with everyone's LBL predictions - still missing Flahute's picks though. If there are any prediction errors, please let me know before tomorrow's race.

Also.. The giro is fast approaching, so if we could get a discussion going as to which stages we want to predict (on top of the overall classification winners) that would be great. I'm thinking probably 4-5 stages for the race? We need to decide which ones asap. The stage 12 60km TT is a must (in my opinion) along with a couple of the mountain stages. Perhaps we can add a couple of other flatter stages to try and predict some sprinting battles?

Further, I am removing the Tour de Romandie and replacing it with the tour of Benelux. (Please do not send me any predictions for the TDR)

Thanks again to Marshan and Bluebeard for tabulating the Fleche and AGR races, you guys are the best. Much love!

That's it for now. Thanks to everyone for the picks, and good luck tomorrow!

Merckx.

Yeah, not much variance in the picks.
Valverde, Cunego, A.Schleck, Rebellin, S.Sanchez seem to be the top picks.
Other choices include Evans, Basso, Gilbert, Lovkvist, Pfannberger, F. Schleck, Nibali, Gesink...good luck to all!

hey Merckx, i think you also missed Martin and R.Forster's picks, There picks aren't up on the original post but are still on the tally board. So i don't know if you missed putting them up or the forget to msg them to you or they are out of the game completely.

Cheers

Hey im also adding everyone to my friends list, because merckx looks kinda lonely as my only friend.

i am now your friend :)

back to the lbl predictions: the race is just too hard for big surprises.
the big guys are almost always right in front on the final climbs.

the vino-voigt edition was kind of a surprise, but it still took two of the worlds greatest riders to pull it off.

i see i'm only one of four or so to not have picked valverde in the first five. that being said: valverde will probably win.

Bl00dy Rodrieguz, didnt choose him today after putting him high up for both Amstel and Fleche, and today he decides to pull his finger out of his a$$ and do something.

Oh well, got two right like most people, but i had Gilbert placed correctly in fourth so extra 3 points for me.

Pls also remember we are not doing romandy anymore.

Cheers

Andy actually won it! So cool!
Just a shame that large group came back in the end. Ah well, can't have everything....

The teams selected are indeed all very similar. Most had Valverde for the win...Also lots of Andy Schlecks and Rebellins. Scanning through the teams I'd say everyone scored points...

Now you look kinda lonely on mine. :p

As for the Giro...
I honestly have no idea... I agree that the TT is a good idea. And at least one mountain stage.
I'll take a closer look at the Giro-route later today or tomorrow.....

Looks like Indurain, jaylew, Cosette, and wheels55 are our LBL high pointers.
Whoa, JRod/Gilbert/Ivanov eased out faves Valverde/Cunego/SSanchez.

Hey all, just updated the first page with the rankings. Looks like Valverde was disappointing for a few people. Congrats to the three who picked the Schlecklet though. Especially to Indurain who scored 19 and capturing the overall, and trying for first in the Wins classification!

Let me know if I made any mistakes tabulating scores, I'll take a look when I get a chance. It's back to studying for me! ;) Also, keep discussing the Giro stages we want to use. Event goes live in 13 days!!!

Cheers!

I didn't realize we didn't do every stage for the GTs. If that's the case:

Stage 1: TTT
Stage 2: 1st sprint stage
Stage 4: Uphill finish
Stage 5: Mtn top finish
Stage 9: pancake flat sprint stage
Stage 12: tt
Stage 16: mtn top finish
Stage 17: mtn top finish
Stage 19: mtn top finish
Stage 21: final stage tt

Too many?

hey, my ideas for the Giro:

Stage 1: TTT 20km - Just pick the team who you think will win.
Stage 5: 125km - Short stage, starts on the mountain top , finishes on the mountain top, with a big descent inbetween.
Stage 10: 250km - mammoth stage, so many climbs, big descent to finish.
Stage 12: ITT 61km - This is the TT that we have to do as the other is pancake flat.
Stage 17: 80km - Such a short stage with an awesome climb, anything could happen. Its not everyday you get a 80km road stage.

+ a flat stage for the sprinters.

If thats too may maybe ditch the team time trial because there are only 18 possibilities (I Think)

Thats just my 2cents

no romandie?

i was coming here to say that i forgot romandie and after forgetting fleche wallonne also i was quitting this game.

so thanks for skipping romandie :)

Come on guys, we need some more ideas for the Giro, its only about 10 days away and only a couple of people have posted ideas. We need to agree on the stages, so we need more input.

Also Merckx maybe you can answer this one. Is anything going to happen to the points board if rebellin gets stripped of his win or even just banned?

Cheers guys
