Also is appearing that J.Rod is on the list of the teams vying for a WT place, despite the fact he decided to retire.

Must be a super contract. I think it's better to retire, but it's alluring: a lot of money, a different role in the team and one extra year.
well... money doesn't stink. even the dictator's and abusers' one.Arredondo said:According to La Gazzeta, he could be riding for Team Bahrain in 2017.

No more GTs. But he could ride Amgen Tour of California now that it is a WT race.Arredondo said:I think he's just pissed of by Katusha's attitude. He had a formal agreement with them to retire after Río, but the team changed up their mind (which they can do, ofcourse) and decides to let him ride the Italian classics.
I think he wants to continue with a team who gives him the freedom to retire the way he wants. Maybe targetting Liege and Giro one more time?

If he rides in 2017, he should retire with the Worlds.
Velolover2 said:Just a personal opinion. I don't think he should race more GTs. Classics and one-week races only.

Why? He decided to retire because he wants to spend more time with his family and doesn't want to be away for 250 days a year.
I think that hasn't change really

His agent:
“We are not ruling out anything right now,” Edo told Cyclingnews. “Nothing is signed with anybody and there are lots of different options on the table.”
“Joaquim wanted to retire in the Olympics, but this obligation to race in Italy has changed his point of view. He wants to leave the sport in the way he wants to leave it.”

Seriously? I mean, I like the guy, but this just seems strange. I know, Contador also announced this would be his last season but he then announced to keep on racing in the middle of the season, but announcing that he will do another year one month after his big good by is just very strange.Arredondo said:OH YEAH BABY!!! ANOTHER PURITO YEAR LEFT!!![]()
