the last 8 years they basically always rode for Freire in the AGR and even some editions of the RVV and he always failed to deliver.
He was still free to do what he wanted and still did not win. Hilarious

...being races that aren't actually ideal for his talents, he is still entitled to their support considering the results he brings in other races. How many other sprinters do you see finishing top 10 in AGR and LBL? Rabobank generally does well in the Ardennes, just simply don't have that rider that has shown they can deliver the win in the end. Personally I'm impressed that he can finish in the top ten in such a varying range of races.

Freire is getting a little old and cranky, but he has some right to feel that he doesn't get as much respect as he should from his team. I can't think of any Rabobank rider from the past decade whose palmares stack up against Oscarcito, with the possible exception of Denis 'One and a Half Grand Tour Wins' Menchov.

Yeah I think he's still ****ed off he isn't going to the Tour and deservedly so in my opinion. I don't know what he has against Gesink though.

Really, he gets all the respect he deserves from his team. He's one of the few guys who can basically do whatever he wants (within the team rules, of course).

I think it's time for him to start showing some respect to his team, actually. This is getting ridiculous.

I thought Martens and Gesink regardless of cramp should of given it a go. A lot if riders generally have cramp after 250km's

You don't have to worry, I won't be posting that often around here anymore.

A true internet HARDMAN, calling riders losers for being beaten by a formidable opponent and then getting upset on the internet when someone calls them out for it. Harden up.

They ride in the races where he can't win and don't do anything out of the ordinary in the races he can win.

Ok, I know Rabobank has had some pretty dumb tactics, but that just doesn't make sense.

I didn't really see a team at AGR. I saw a bunch of individuals that didn't want to work for each other. Other than that dumb team time trial move that also didn't make sense.

I assume you're talking about the final 10-15 k, when they were all cooked and hanging on for dear life. Last year Gesink pulled on the front for Freire, this year he didn't have the legs to do even that. And after Freire's latest comments, I'm not sure he'll ever do that again :p

I think Rabo will be happy that this Amstel business is over and done with. They got 3 guys in the top-10 (Garmin, BMC, Lampre, HTC etc. would have loved to have only one, let alone three) and still their race is considered a failure.

No but in general, the huge critics in the Netherlands is that usually Rabobank rode their lungs out of their head for Freire in virtually every race...

I think you can safely say all Leopards eggs must now be in the Liege basket.

Their classics season could end up with no wins, which considering all the talk of Cancellara and Schleck could be a bit of a catastrophe

Looks like Andy saved it for LBL today.

Hoping Cunego is too :(
