I have a question-why are we collectively empowering the lunatic fringe with this thread?

Page after page of this stuff is a bit much already. I feel like we're dissecting the same cadaver over and over again.

Race Radio made his situation public. It is obvious he's not going to get his questions answered unless he shows up in Austin in person.

Yes, it sounds peculiar for a charity organization to not publicly answer questions about their financial and other dealings, and even more peculiar that such an organization would be tooting HgH on their website, or that their figurehead is paid to sponsor an unfortunate brand of beer, the last two items a seemingly hypocritical contradiction on their alleged anti-cancer stance.

But we have stepped out of bounds with comments about guys like Lindsay. He is inconsequential to any of this, and all we are doing is giving him and the other Armstrong Branch Davidians a reason to get up in the morning.

Lindsay is like Snooki from "Jersey Shore", who despite being a total social *** is comforted by the thought that when she gets home she has her stuffed crocodile to console her. Armstrong is Lindsay's only link to reality. Take away his man-crush and the myth that he's bought into and we may have to put him on suicide watch.

And all this Twitter nonsense, who cares? The only thing that matters isn't who is following who on that site, but if any Livestrong employee has addressed any of Race Radio's questions.

They can say and do what they want over at Livestrong. All this latest episode illustrates is how unrepentant they are about losing credibility as an organization.

Answering the questions is all that matters. Lindsay isn't a part of any of this, yet I can see him in front of his computer happy as a clam that he has been given a life on the internet.

Isn't it bad enough we have trolls on this site that people keep feeding?

Come on, guys. We're better than this.

...after 48 pages of gawd knows what there is finally something that makes sense...great post dear sir...you nailed it...

Cheers

He was not gonna get answers in Austin. He was gonna get a bunch of suits trying to intimidate him. Why bother?

But to the rest of your post. Yep:)

The little dipsh!t fu*ked with my personal life, and I am still pi$$ed off about it. I can see that the horse is dead...but sometimes, beating the sh!t out of a dead horse (especially when it is a moronic, taintstain of a dead horse) is fun. If he gets up in the morning and slaps around his Curious George because he is getting unfavorable mention on cyclingnews forum, fine. It's fun to know that he is banned from posting here, yet takes his time to read.

Having said that, I do recognize that the topic is losing some of its zing, and see that there is merit to your argument.

Seriously, this Jamie dude is well overdue for colon therapy.

thanks Dallas

In this (and only this) I actually agree with this idiot.

The whole claim by SI about the drugs on the private charter was a bit too simplistic and dodgy to be beleived.

The problem with that is of course, that it wasnt the only (or main) claim of the article. And idiot boy doesnt address anything else - just says its 'old'

Anyway - RR let us know if you ever get an answer from them ... would be an interesting bed time story if you like fantasy :p

The story of drugs on the plane had multiple, direct witness sources. It may be one of the best sourced points in the story.

No answer yet. At this point not expecting one.

I have flown my own plane, charter aircraft of all sizes, corporate turbo-props, jets, and airliners from a Boeing 737 to the 777 over the past 45 years.

From his facebook - that sounds alot like someone who used to post here. Carbon or Oldnell maybe? Those two are mental cases.

Please remember one innocent victim of this affront to reason is the LIVESTRONG Foundation. The team there and supporters across the planet are fighting hard to improve the lives of folks living with cancer, and this has to weigh heavily on their shoulders. How about writing notes of support and thanks to those tireless fighters and perhaps include a donation to LIVESTRONG to support their great work. Second, when your friends point to these allegations or the next wave which most certainly come when Lance rides again in the USA, push back with reason and determination. Finally, I ask you to please contact your members of Congress and ask them to pass a Law prohibiting any Federal of State investigator from ever making any money on a book or movie deal based upon investigations he pursued while on the payroll of the taxpayers to pursue. I bet that Law would end "Novitsky Gone Wild."

I don't quite understand.

Is this "innocent team of LiveSTRONGers" getting paid to work for the foundation, or are they donating their time to a charity which is less effective than others in its field?

In either case, I'm not sure the effects on "the cause" due to the unraveling of the myth are disproportionately bad.

It is not peculiar. Completely appropriate.

Whan I get calls at the office from people rambling with question after rambling question, I say "come on down to the shop so we can discuss".

I know that most likely they will not show up, but it gets me off the phone. And if they do show up at least I will be able to tell by body language etc if they are *** or drunk or whatever - and can handle the situation appropriately.

But back the the so called "questions".
The "beer causes cancer" troll angle has been debunked.
Can we move on to the HGH angle?
Can someone provide the links to the Livestrong site where "doctors" are "pimping" HGH.

The watershed moment for many. I remember watching it and thinking that was the action of a man trying to forcibly hide something. It actually seemed logical after reading "It's not about the bike." Many people find ("found" for many others) that book inspiring. I found it to be the ruminations of a narcissist who believes in the power if his thoughts and personality a little too much. He says he credits other people for helping him beat cancer, but mostly, he appears to believe it has more to do with some inner strength he possesses that is superior to even cancer. The problem is that he is just lucky. I have known much better people, with much more character and inner strength who didn't make it.

He is a pathetic, self-absorbed bully who created an empire based on cult of personality. His most vociferously defensive minions are an even sadder lot because they need a hero to live their vision of themselves through their association with him. They consider themselves to be like him in strength and personal attributes, and therefore a part of him. I find the whole thing tragic because it is a guilded empire that siphons off money and attention from organizations and people who would be much better stewards of such things.

Yes, TFF, this is well-put. He is so convinced that he is such an inspiration, he truly is delusional. The video on JL's blog of LA angry at press conf...wtf is that about?? I couldn't bring myself to actually listen to that, but watched part of it with the mute on, and when you see that face...well, sociopath comes to mind. He just doesn't look hinged.

I have a friend that read it out of simple curiosity. She knows nothing about Lance, cycling, or sports in general.

Her take on it was, "God, throughout the book Lance keeps saying how cancer made him a 'better person.' If that's true, then I can only imagine what a complete and total a-hole he was before that."

Her words, not mine.

What a great quote! Were you able to respond, "well he still is, so not much changed" or something similar?

It is fascinating to watch the Lance hateboys obsess. It's like an addiction to a bad soap opera.

Nah, what is fascinating is watching the saddle sniffers bend over backwards as they try to deny reality and justify immoral acts to keep their love alive. It is an amazing study in delusional thinking that cannot be changed no matter how much evidence is presented.

If I were a conman looking to set up a scheme, I would start with a list of Liestrong true believers. You could sell these dummies anything, no matter how ridiculous the scam; and even after it was proved that they had been robbed, they would still continue send the checks in and convince others to give me their money.

Yeah I was actually thinking more about that second group Mark.
It might be a nice thing to try Bro, but I bet you don't have the mental make up required to pull it off. You probably have a conscience.

nominated for post of the month.

As far as I'm able to tell, barring a few excpetions, hate is generally not a motive behind those posts that are critical of Lie-alot.
In the end, it's more about standing up for the right to make an earnest living, be it in cycling or in any other branche of life.
