Tbh I can remember 2 other ORRs.With the riders skill sets and the route, this may be one of the most open OGRR/WC races I can ever remember. I honestly wouldn't wouldn't surprised if anyone of about 25 riders won (though obviously it will be Pog).
This thread is in desperate need of a poll
Roglic
Van Aert, Pogacar
Evenepoel, A. Yates, Valverde
Almeida, Schachmann, Moscon, Higuita
Gaudu, Woods, Mollema, Hirschi, Bettiol and a bunch of other guys.
Chocolate?I so hope Valverde can get a medal. Gold would be awesome, but any color would be wonderful.
Roglic struggles with heat?Forget Roglic now, it is bloody hot in Tokyo
Would like to see Nibali add a gold to his trophy cabinet as I feel sorry for how he lost in Rio.
But my #1 cry into my Saturday morning breakfast choice would be Nairoman. What a least expected day that would be if he actually managed to have one of his good days on the right day
He would need a whole minute on top of Mikuni to everyone in order to stay in front till the finish line, so not very likely...Would like to see Nibali add a gold to his trophy cabinet as I feel sorry for how he lost in Rio.

If those 3 sprint for the win they'll all get 4th.By the time you'll have your breakfast Nibali, Quintana and Dumoulin will be in a break some 15 minutes ahead of a depleted peloton.
How did you know Dumo was my third choice?By the time you'll have your breakfast Nibali, Quintana and Dumoulin will be in a break some 15 minutes ahead of a depleted peloton.

The only really obvious thing ever happened in a pro Olympics RR was that time Uran ninja'd to a podium placeYeah, I feel like I used to pre-Milan San Remo, before the puncheur gods turned up (Van Aert, Ala etc): no friggin idea who might win.....very unusual parcours, small teams and no race radios - expect the unexpected.
gold is Ok but I am sure he wants silverValverde for a medal. Hopefully gold.
Rogla has problems with long races;
not only when injured, he often fades in this long racesWhen injured.
read page 2I normally only read on these forums but created an account to ask this.
3am starting time in the UK is not great. Around what time should I get up if I want to be sure of watching from the beginning of the Mikuni Pass?
