No sign that the Roodhoofts have registed either of the Aplecin or Fenix teams. Nothing appearing in the register of teams list or results sheets. Correndon are there though.
From memory, Alpecin no longer have any women to register for a UCI CX team; both Alvarado/ Pieterse are on Fenix for Road and CX. Even though Puck is Alpecin for XC MTB. Corendon have men & women on that team.

Coupe de France Mens Juniors, Nommay
165PERROT AUDET Louis+5 laps
166BEL Nathan+5 laps
167REGENT Lucas+5 laps
DNFseven others-

174 starters in a CX race. The logistics!

If they were all lined out single file, wheel to wheel, that's 300m front to back.

The vicarious competitiveness of 174 dads in the pits!

15 aggressively hormonal teens trying to simultaneously get round a corner where there is only room for two, time after time after time.

How much time did those near the back spend standing still waiting for congestion and intertwined handlebars to be sorted out ahead of them?

Yet that's a fantastic turn out. Good for the French CX organizers.

Yet 174 starters is a lot! Maybe they could have two separate starts based off rankings? Two shorter qualifier races and then a final race for the top 50 racers from both races?

What a great race!
Must be the first time in a long time that Van Empel has been beaten ‘a la pedale’ (not by Puck or Shirin) in a cross race?
Hulst last year was the last time. Puck won, but Van Empel "only" got 4th.

At some point it looked like she was running away with it again, but then Casasola blocked her on the sand section and it just seems like she sort of gave up after that? If only she had Alvarado's grinta, she'd be unstoppable ;)

How does this work, legally speaking? It makes no sense in cycling to suspend someone for an X amount of races, rather than a period. He is suspended for three CX races, but today alone has at least four C2 races. That would mean he would be able to race tomorrow, which he obviously isn't. That would mean he would be suspended for very specific races, which doesn't appear to be the case either. Otherwise, he could just jump in the car and enter into the French Cup races this weekend.
Now looks like you were listened to, now announced as a one week ban ending on Friday, so Saturday now back on.

With a little more coordination, they could have managed to fit the racing ban in a period where Iserbyt would be in a training camp in Spain.

So, in the end, the 3 race days ban turns out to be an effective 1 race ban, because no way he was going to do both Essen and Ruddervoorde and he never did Nacht van Woerden before as well.

was rooting for Schreiber, but she couldn’t quite pull it off. Still looks good to improve on last year though. Van Empel looks a bit off last year’s form but she’ll probably come good. Just need Puck and Shirin to come back in and it’ll be proper competitive on the ladies side.

Van Androoij might be looking at surgery for lack of power in one leg (iliac?), in which case she would be out for a large proportion of the cx season.

That’s a real shame after she never really hit the heights last year on the cx bike. I miss watching her, Pieterse & Van Empel and was looking forward to a proper season with them at elite (plus Brand, Vas, Alvarado etc).

I've got still got a headache from this afternoons races on today's disco english language coverage.
Jez Cox never even paused for two whole races, not sure even how he even finds time to breathe.
That clown "commentated" over half the men's race before he figured out that Sweeck dismounts on the "dirty side" and then he wondered if he always did that or if it was only sometimes. In depth commentary like this makes me happy to pay extra to watch all the races. Marty MaC and JPow were glorious comparatively speaking today.

Mae Cabaca is probably the best junior of the season so far (racing among the pros) but it turns out she has a dispute with her team, so she rides in all black. Her (former) team manager now reacts on her latest Instagram post: "I hope you fail in everything you do". Mind you, this girl is 17 years old, and the guy is somewhere in his sixties. Classy stuff.

I have zero knowledge of the situation, but it's hard to imagine that there isn't a parent in the middle of it.

There is. Her father/trainer/manager, you know the drill. They signed a 3 year contract when she was 15, and now apparently they want to continue on their own. They've declined offers from Alpecin and others, so one would assume it's not a money thing.
