feels disappointing in a way based on how well Wolff did in the other races, Carrier I think did well, but we have no idea what issues either had as rightly I guess coverage focussed on the top3 and everyone else was in a completely different race, you only needed to catch one of those deep ruts and face plant surf like Bakker did and you'd be out of it.
Coverage focused on the top-3, and Sanne Cant. Who always gets way too much attention, often rather than covering developments in the actual race (i.e. at the front).

Wolff did okay, she was at the level she's had so far. Loenhout was better result-wise, but there you didn't have the best riders in the world starting. Carrier did slightly better, which is impressive because she's a junior... still finished 5 minutes back though.

No MVDP again tomorrow.

he's broken/fractured his ribs hasnt he. Rib discomfort is one thing certainly in an aerobic sport like cycling and with constant bump hits like CX, its going to be painful but that discomfort can be managed and probably in a race not felt anyway, unless you hit a post again.

what you cant manage is if they break because they only heal if you rest properly. but presumably theres a game to be played with race organisers not wanting it known their star attraction isnt racing till the last minute as it might impact spectator interest.

I've been wondering what's up with the Holmgren sisters, neither of whom have ridden since Zonhoven, their 2nd European race of the season. No explications, really, for not lining up for races they were initially slated to start, but Ava at least was riding some cobbles and the velodrome in Roubaix yesterday with her dad.
