The commentators on RTL relayed rumors that Orts will fill the spot opened up on Trek-La Baloise by Van der Haar's retirement; we already know Orts has good relations with T. Nys.
Also a bit of polemica concerning Van der Heijden possibly having been directed to let Van Alphen finish ahead of her in order to deny Fouquenet the Superprestige trophy, the Roodhoofts ensuring the trophy remained in their system.

I think it's more of a gesture among friends than an order from the Roodhoofts. Why do everything to finish 8th in a race and deny your friend the overall win in a classification. I can imagine Fouquenet was none too pleased though.

It would have been funny if she were as ignorant of the rules as the TNT commentators (in English), and didn't let her past because she thought it wouldn't have mattered.
