Yeah, no matter how much people hate Armstrong here, you can't deny the fact that he has done greater things for the world then any other currently active cyclist. He might be an arrogant ***, but at least he does something good with his fame.

Just to let you know, my club which has US military affiliations, I evesdropped on 2 conversations. ! Lance would have been top 5 in this years tours if it was not for his 3 crashes stage 8. I also heard this: the credibility of his accusors before the grand jury is not credible as the witnesses are dopers. Just wanted to share. All these people speaking have master degrees or are writing masters thesis at this time.
I am so happy that cyclingnews lets you trash the sponsor of your blog here. Truley alturistic of them.

..and the defendant?

I am just telling you opinions outside this forum. I am sure there are many other opinions out there. I hear about 99 percent pro Lance outside this forum. I do not share my opinions outside this forum. I will not tell my opinions in this forum because I do not care to upset the moderators here.

Yeah. The government has NEVER used members of the mafia to testify against the heads of the organization. NEVER.

In what field are these people getting masters degrees? I hope it doesn't have anything to do with critical thinking.

BTW, Lance crashed ONCE in Stage 8.

Moose what country to you abide in? If you live in the US and pay taxes I will let you in on this. You are paying for their education. It has to do with the security of our nation. Nuff said.

PS go on net flix and watch the Good fellas. Then watch Casino. Then the Godfathers 1,2 +3. You do not think governments deal with mafioso? Watch Gommorah. Then study mafia in WW2. Give me a break. Do some homework.

Come on, don't contradict flicker, I was really digging the notion that being in the process of writing my Masters Thesis gave me instant credibility on subject entirely unrelated to my field of study.

It's been a tough TDF for "The Shack" with the streak of bad luck that Lance had in the tour. But what they have shown is that they have the best team overall, which is why they clinched the TDF team classification. Not only that, but Lance gets to retire on a high note on the team podium. :D

Are you serious? Who cares. The Team classification is a joke because most teams aren't even competing for it.

+1
I dont know who Lance and Johan are trying to kid with their team GC BS!! WTF, when Lance was dominating the tour only George Hincapie managed to get further away than a couple of feet because winning the individual GC was all that mattered and he had it pretty much sewn up at the point!! I'm not a Lance basher, like most people he got me interested in cycling, but unlike most of our american cousins i realise there's more to cycling than the TDF. What got my back up last year was the beef Bertie got just because he wasnt gonna be bullied into second place by Armstrongs sneaky attack in the wind on ST3. Anyone else think its a joke LL had zero support even tho he was supposed to be the new leader of RS?? Think Lance must have been the best protected rider in history to finish +20 mins down every stage!

exactly, I totally agree. People really do not know on the subject of these touchy cycling issues. Really to have an opinion one needs to either raced at a higher level or known someone involved personally in all aspects. I only trash the know it alls here. Those writing masters thesis well they are focused on their job at hand. Kudos to you.

One crash at 65km/hr is enough. He lost 10mins on that stage, so he had no reason to try after that. It was nice of Lance to ride for Levi too, that's a good teammate right there b.

You managed to miss both my sarcasm and the point of my post.

I will try to be clearer next time.

The mere fact that the title of this thread is "Radioshack/Armstrong" proves what a mockery they made of the classification. It is a team event, not an individual rider event.

Armstrong thinking that he had a successful TDF due to his team's success completely defeats the purpose of the classification.

He rode well for a 36 year old, and he is 23rd among the best cyclists in world...23rd despite a lot of crashes and bad luck.

This can only be a failure to a Lance hater / Armchair TDF rider...

The team competition is way more sought after than the individual.

When the history of the 2010 Tour is written who will remember Contador or Schleck? Everyone will remember that Radioshack beat Caisse d'Epargne in the team comp. Bruyneel is a tactical genius.

You should at least use a smile, grin, or something to make it very clear that you are kidding.

I admit, the relevance of Flicker's "Masters Degree" post escapes me. On this board we have attorneys, expert witnesses, and others who deal with the American legal system on a daily basis.

But wait, let's put all that aside and listen to some people who are "writing their Masters theses". In what? Religion, chemistry, accounting?

Seriously? I would make a humble suggestion to Lance fans. Before you click submit, read your post aloud so you can hear for yourself just how stupid it sounds.

Excuse me? Are we speaking of current Ds s current and retired pros, american and eurp? Top amatuer americans? Or are we speaking litigators? I am speaking from the former and not from lance to landis as read by an attorney. Get with the sport Moose. Puleeze!
