Radioshack make me SUPER ANGRY.

That is all.

In fairness, Roessler winning was hardly a surprise. I tipped him to take the win, but overall I agree with the view that Radioshack have stepped it up a gear this year. What this is down to, I dont know but surely they cannot be doing more than in previous years.

27 riders within 10 seconds on a 14.7km. TT in the wind.
Why are we speaking of doping here with RS.

Michal Kwiatkowski and Roessler, epic rides! Go SHACK, down with the Haterz!

I suspect it's because they are searching for a title sponsor and they don't have any topnotch stars or likely GC winners for the GT's - so they are entering spring events with a serious eye towards victory more so than in past years when they could rely on the Lance show to generate sponsorship.

Rosseler winning is not a big surprise by itself, but when the whole team is consistently in the top places of the ITTs...

The days of SHACK epic fail are over. Oh no, Mr. Bill!

So the only real difference between this season and last is Lance, not totally out there as I am sure the other big names were encouraged to save their strength for helping his highness at Le Tour last year which was an epic fail of course. Shows how much one over egotistical rider can screw up the mentality of a team.

Bruyneel obviously has a major problem attracting a major sponsor and i wonder if a lot of the ones he has are jumping ship, even Twek might not have signed on for next year! the ones he has probably know he is too closely tied to Wonderboy so teamHog are desperate to keep themselves in the shop window for a european based sponsor.

But with McQuaid and anti-doping breathing down their necks it is gonna be tough.

The way Radio Shack have been performing so far this year I believe Fat Pat is still firmly in Bruyneels' pocket, so the Shack is being protected at all costs.

The good ol' boy network is obviously chugging along without a hitch despite the impending issues that will come to the forefront in the next couple of months.

So what are we to make of all this?
The results we're seeing seem to be waving a red flag.

If McQuack is really at odds with the "deserters" wouldn't the Shack be a prime target for a take down?

Conversely: If Pat & The Hog are in cahoots with one another, what does that tell us about the supposed JV/Hog alliance?

Does Johan even care about next year? By his own account from his book, he was ready to move away from cycling after having won with Contador, with the satisfaction of proving that he was able to pull one off without Lance.

But then we had 2.0, and then The Shack sponsor.

So what's really going on?

Yeah but Deignan is on the team now - And Deignan's agent is a certain Andrew McQuaid - you couldn't make this stuff up.

Perhaps we can expect the "breakaway league" idea to mature over the next couple of seasons. Then they launch it just in time for Fat to step down in dignity from the UCI presidency and to step up as inaugural President of the all-new, global-reaching Directorate of the Organised Professional Empire for Rights of Televised Entertainment in Cycling (DOPERTEC).

How perceptive and probably the closest to the truth of the situation. It would be so like McQuaid to stab in the back all the people who elected him to ruin the UCI.

It's nice to see Radioshack riders blossom to their full potential with a proper in-house doping program.

Seriously though, I do like Horner and Kloden. Levi seems like a total d-bag Lance wannabe.

Really? I've heard about the place he's kinda a nice guy. What's the dirt on Levi?

I have a confession to make: the Radioshack kit is starting to grow on me. It's a strange realisation when you discover something new and hitherto undreamt of about yourself, a bit like asking oneself 'am I gay?'

I like your deadpan opening sentence. :p

yeah, Trek are distancing themselves from the Lance legacy, I think. RR was saying something about this the other week. The best evidence for this is their naming rights for another team: Leopard-Trek. They wanna hitch their carriage onto the Schleck-Cancellara train. It's not going to be a wreck anytime soon.

it struck me watching the past few races on tv that it is clearly the most distinctive in the pack, The long sleeve jersey looks like those old baseball under shirts with the colored sleeves we wore in little league .

It is not cool to like anything radio here but I'll admit I like their kit the best.

ghay would be to go with the opinion of the popular crowd here btw

Stijn Devolder.

Been absolutely sh!t with a capitol s for the last two years at Vacansoleil and now, at the Shack he is back.

How about that?

Stijn Devolder.

Did he miss his buddies from the past or are we talking clinic matters?

I think it is the genius coaching of Dirk Demol.... :D

Another influence could be not having to be the leader anymore but only a helper to a very clear leader, so less pressure. Also I suppose it is easier to pull for some time in the middle of the race and go full gas, than actually be there in the end. Then in some smaller races like Brabantse Pijl he can play a free role.

He's also not been great either... very good, yes, and compared to his last years that seems all the more amazing.

Might he be the one rider who actually improves after moving to LEOPARD/Radioshack?! :D

Maybe in their 2nd year they've finally learned how to operate and work together.
Or maybe they've been inspired to perform by Cance.
Or maybe Guercilena has been able to bring out the best in them and do his job much better than Bruyneel was able too. Demol also here.
Or maybe their doping.

Whatever it is, personally I'm just glad to finally see them doing good. Now if only Gallopin, Nizzolo, Horner (in Cali), and Andy can show some good results and maybe even get some wins (Gallopin and Nizzolo, hopefully Horner in Cali), that would be great. :)

Looks like the French Police got the wrong bus but at least they're trying :)

This team bus search was yesterday during Stage 8, no word on if anything suspicious was found just that they got pulled over for a check of sorts. Humm... who's next?

Looks like a massive shake down!

On guy on a motorcycle and a bus. You sure they weren't there just to check tyre pressure?
