This time it's Alex Rasmussen who has missed a doping test and has been fired from HTC High Road effective immediately. He also missed two tests right before joining HTC last year (and didn't tell them) which is the reason he has now been suspended by the Danish Cycling Federation. Three missed tests in 18 months is equal to a failed drug test.

They release a statement saying that he will not be joining them next year and if they had any idea that he was missing tests they would never have signed him. Like HTC are saying, say that he never told them.

I believe that you could accidentally miss a test, though 3 within that short period seem rather unlikely... But how hard could it be to just tell people?

The way I see it what he needs to do what everyone ending up in such a situation needs to to is make a public apology, take his punishment (if he's sanctioned) as a man. Then return with a clean slate.

Because he didn't tell HTC. And, according to the team, no-one informed them of the two previously missed tests while at Saxo.

Which is in itself quite surprising. Surely the governing body should issue this sort of information to the team trying to register a cyclist?

His team-mate Bak and his track-partner Mørkøv both agree that he hasnt gotten enything to hide and isnt a doper, but that he is simply unorganised and have feked up the paper-work. They also agree that its extremely stupid, and that he will have to take his punishment for it.

Unofficial rumours about him also say that he is extremly unorganised and lazy, which could both explain this incident and also explain why both Riis, Holm and others have said that his talent is bigger than what he manages to get out of it (since he is unorganised and lazy)

Surely a 'Clean' team does a thorough background check on riders it is interested in before signing them. But as this example shows, HTC and Garmin dont bother which shows how interested they are in cleanliness.

Yes, why? I don't see any reason fur such a delay.

Thankfully he punctured in the Giro but Sagan was robbed in Philadelphia.

Well, even though it is now the tailend of the season, HTC will still not be able to use him in any races. SO they'll be paying him for doing SFA. Not many employers would keep you on payroll for doing nothing.

Gotta agree with that. Persoanlly I think it slobbyness as every1 who knows him says taht he is extremely unorganised and lazy (which also prevented him from utilizing his talent). All of them, including his father and Holm, says that dispite the fact that is not a doper he did break the whereabout rules due to slobbyness and, hence, must take his punishment. Holm also says that after his ban he am ready to help him to get his carreer going again. This might be a very expensive experience that is needed for him to later revert and be more serious with his live and training (which is was also being slobby with)

That would speak in favor of him not being a doper, cos he would probably have been tested positive as he is too dumb and slobby to hide it. That doesnt change the fact that he deserves his ban either way. If u break the rules by dope or by being slobby doesnt matter much, u still broke the rules.
