I think Yates has had a habit of doing all he can to stay ignorant. He probably suspected, but made sure to not let quriosity get in the way of remaining ignorant.

If there is doping at sky, I'm pretty sure he is ignorant about it.

The exact same coaching setup in 2009 that took Garmin's Brad to 4th could only manage 24th in 2010. The exact same coaching setup.

I guess battling against Armstrong for a place on the podium in his breakthrough year at the 2009 tour de France wasn't that memorable. Wiggins also again talked about events "10 to 15 years ago" - seemingly forgetting that Armstrong retired in February 2011 (i.e. last year Wiggo).

I'm a Wiggo fan but given cycling's history even I can't help feeling disappointed when I hear this type of comment - particularly in contrast with Wiggo's rants against doping much earlier in his career. To me the comments from Dowsett and Sammy Sanchez were more shocking still though - though of course like me they are entitled to their opinions.

Nico Roche is tied into McQuaids, Darach McQuaid is his agent, no? His Dad Stephen recently got a UCI job, which he desperately needs as his hotel is no more and the training camps website seems well out of date, so no i wouldn't expect much from Roche and Roche signed for Doping Riis.

Yeah Darach McQuaid is still his agent. He negotiated the move to Saxo for him.

No doubt about it he is completely compromised with regards to this.

The thing that disappointed me tonight is that during the Vuelta in one of his columns during the Vuelta for the Irish Independent he spoke differently.

A correction there guys - Andrew, Pats son is Roches agent.
Darach was involved with the Tour of Ireland, now involved with the worlds in Richmond.

The only good thing in the interview was Shane Stokes.

I love that at the eleventh hour there was a mass filing of comments/concessions/admissions. And they all stopped doping in 2006? Gotcha...

Everyone of these d*uche-bag liars have been part of Omerta for the beter part of a decade (if not more). Why did they come out now? The gun was to their head. If they weren't sh*tting their pants, there is NO WAY any of them would have 'fessed up. These are not heroes.

The sad fact is that the heroes are guys like Bassons, who burnt his own bridges by being honest. Where were these f*ck-wads then? Did they back him up? Did they offer support to him? Did they change what they were doing? Not even by an iota. They stuck to the plan. They kept on cranking.

To see them now, admitting their guilt, and showing no regard for the riders who had more moral fortitude than them (after all, they all said they didn't WANT to dope), is an utter disgrace.

I felt the same after Zable's admission, "Nice that you found honesty now, but what about the riders who WOULDN'T dope, where are they? F*ck you, Erik.".

And a really serious F*CK YOU to the cowards who are coming out now, because it's only due to pressure.
