well well.

MJM brings the laffs

Frodo might get a starring role in the new LOTR film Jackson is shooting in Tasmania. He might be able to book a ticket with Floyd to Tour of Southland

Then Frodo's Bro gets raped by a gnome or something, That scene probably better left for the extended version.

We haven't heard from Manzano yet, have we?
I doubt he has many good things to say about Lance.

BEHOLD! A former Spanish pro who comes out with stuff that is not embarrassing to read!

Now, of course I disagree with him about not digging up the past, but at least he's honest about why he thinks that shouldn't be done. No BS from him.

Seems he stumbled on Sky's true 'marginal gains' secret

The best signing for a team is not a good rider, but a good doctor.

Frodo is such a bell-end. He's no better than the Spanish to be honest. He's too busy playing the victim card than actually condemning Armstrong.

I seem to recall that Frodo hoped that Ricco would be raped in prison - does he wish the same on Armstrong? (Ironic really given that Frodo's brother is a dealer - so does Frodo hope his brother gets raped as well?)

That Cav has gone to Team Ibarguren what else can one expect from him?

Cav is omerta pharma all the way.

He doesn't say much, but it's a pretty fun read. I might translate it later if you guys are interested, but I'm kind of busy right now.

thanks. he's talking sense in a very direct and effective way.
"if you wanna test positive for CLEN through meat, you'd have to eat the whole cow".
he's also slamming Riis and applauds Rabo's decision to step out.

too bad he's not (or hardly?) being heard in spain.
compare that to e.g. Jaksche, who gets a decent amount of (positive) press in Germany every now and again.

So....now that the home-sweet-home guys have had their fun trying to place the main villians south on Central Europe it is about time to shift focus for a while. It is Andy Schleck-time:

On Monday, the UCI confirmed that it would not contest USADA’s decision to strip Lance Armstrong of his seven Tour de France titles and ban him for life. While Schleck was reluctant to pass judgment on Armstrong, he acknowledged that the UCI had been left with no other choice but to accept USADA’s findings.

Personally, I don’t think it’s going to help the sport to look back at what happened eight, nine, ten years ago,” he said. “I think that we have to look to the future of cycling instead. But there are also many things that weren’t clear and are now, so I think that the UCI was a bit obliged to take the decision.

“But I think that for the spectators who watched the Tour, who is the winner of the Tour? Ullrich? But then if it’s given to someone else, it’s not much better. We have to draw a line and start from zero.”

Schleck’s manager at RadioShack-Nissan in 2012 was Johan Bruyneel, but the Belgian parted company with the team after details of his role in US Postal’s systematic doping programme were disclosed in USADA’s reasoned decision on the Armstrong case.

Hmmmm....i see a pattern here. Could it be that many of the big guns out there seems "reluctant to pass a judgement" on Armstrong?

Well, quite. The double agenda from many of the old school riders is:

"We shouldn't look back at the past"
"There were no failed tests back then, and we shouldn't resort to witness testimony now"

2+2=?

"But it is a shame that us riders here now, we are the one picking the pieces up and having to convince people."

yeah, perhaps thats the problem. Your strategy of convincing, it aint convincing.

Perhaps if you never had to worry about convincing others, there is no problem. Perhaps if there is no reason to convince the masses and massage the messsage, then that is the solution.

Cycling is cycling.

I think he says a lot. He's clear and to the point.

"Quienes tenían más dinero para pagar a un buen médico, esos eran los mejores. Que nadie se engañe. El Tour de Francia no se gana comiendo lechuga, filetes de pollo o pasta con parmesano.""

"Those who had money to pay the best doctors, those were the best. Do not be fooled. The Tour de France is not won by eating lettuce, chicken fillets or pasta with parmesan." -> Pan y agua. :)

You can add Contador to the list with Sanchez, Indurain and Valverde.

At the Tour 2013 presentation:
"Me parece que a Lance en ciertos momentos o ciertos sitios no se le está tratando con nada de respeto, se le está humillando y linchando desde mi punto de vista. Se le está destruyendo"

http://www.as.com/ciclismo/articulo/alberto-contador-humillando-armstrong/20121024dasdascic_4/Tes

The Spaniard said that cycling is very controlled and assured that there is no need to change the anti-doping regulations.

Would appreciate it if you/someone has time. Google translate mangles it.

Wait, I might manage a summary myself: "Of course everyone's still juiced, the fu<k is wrong with you?"

I may have the time to properly translate it later, but he says two interesting things:

Firstly, he talked to a current rider at the Vuelta and he said that although they don't have the beat that they used to, they still ride quick.

Secondly, about Rabobank leaving the peloton: How quickly they used to ride in my era! Which says all you need to know really! Great little article, far better than the C**P coming out of other current Spanish riders (I'm aware it's not just Spanish riders).

The Spaniard said that cycling is very controlled and assured that there is no need to change the anti-doping regulations.

The google translation is crap, but from what I understand , he praises Armstrong and charity work:mad:thinks it's lynching:( (Wonder whether poster mountainrman is Contador? :D) and says testimony from former colleagues is valued less than testing positive:confused: (Maybe he's worried Noval or Jesus will rat him out one day, no wonder, Noval's contract gets extended)

However he also says he respects the decision of each cyclist who gave evidence, but would have preferred if they did so in 2005.
(He must have forgotten the 2009 tour where he experienced first hand the reaction from Lance when you cross paths with him).

Ofc, he would like the doping regulations to remain the same.

Having an Independent agency to carry out the doping controls means no sweet deals for him like from the Spanish Cycling Fed.

i never thought of Contador as a genius but i'm surprised that his managers/agents are not able to convince him that its time to shut up.

Did anyone pick up on what Gerard Holtz said about Lance on Stade 2 (on France2) on Sunday? It was something along the lines of he asked Lance a question about the TUE and got threatened afterwards by Lance. It was the first time I'd seen Holtz give his true opinion about LA.

He said much more besides but I couldn't hear it as my kids were screaming at the same time!

To be fair it must be tough for Wiggum, Frodo, Dertie, Schleck etc to sit there and condemn the Uniballer, when they know 'there but for the grace of satan go I'
