As a student I'm forced to stop cycling for a month and a half right now. So after the exams, i wonder how i should start rebuilding form? doing long slow rides with 5 min intervals or just long rides. or should i start training intensivelly from the beginning? Now I just run for about 6 km once a day not to lose my condition, but I was told by a teammate that running isn't good. Am I doing the right thing?

Yeah. Excactly! I don't hope you have exams every day. In fact going for a short ride daily could perhaps even help you concentrating on the studying.

(And I should probably consider following my own advice...)

because of the huge amounts I have to learn :p

Why not try learning the stuff during the semester and train consistently, too? You'd be less stressed.

And... of course you can ride your bike out to your exams :D (Unless of course you have a lot of books to turn in... or has to bring computer, printer and such if for a written exam...)

Harden up and get up early and go for a ride for an hour, or hell even 45 minutes if you have to. Organise your time.
