I think without the work in the final 10km Philipsen would have won that. Van der Poel reacted smartly to Milan being on his wheel ended his lead out really early, 250m out on a drag, I imagine a solid 50-100 earlier than he would've done had Philipsen been on his wheel.

That said I don't think there's much, if anything, to separate Milan and Philipsen. Feels like it's a day by day match-up, either beats the other depending on lead out, previous 50km, the weather, their mood, etc.

Okay, I really need to become Dictator for Life of the UCI so I can put an end to this nonsense of having races finishing before 5 PM local time, when it's not one of the following reasons:

1. A case like Tour of the Alps, where there are no alternative routes for people heading home from work.

2. The race is clashing with another race.

Is Küng scheduled for the ECC ITT? If so, who is going to beat him? I mean, someone IS going to beat him, right?

I don't know, it's 3 days after end of Vuelta. On the other hand. Kung's form is really good right now.
he's on the long list, but the decision will be made at short notice, according to Swiss Cycling

Of course! I'm the only person who knows about multi-screen watching...

You are definitely the only complaining about this all the time.
If you really think the broad public is going to watch multiple races at the same time every day I don't know what to say. Most people missed Bretagne for example cause it was finishing at the same time as the queen stage of the Vuelta, even in France their numbers were low. It's just dumb.

And how many are gonna miss all the stages because they haven't gotten home from work yet?

Well, the goods news is that it appears next week the stages of Britain and Romandie will finish around 5 PM.

Hold on; The BYR competition for this race is stricter than Deutschland, despite this being a WT race, and Deutschland being a ProSeries race?

Probably a lot fewer people...

There is an obvious solution to your 'problem' but you always pretend as though it would be impossible to watch a race after it has been ridden, yet when you never shut up about early finishes, maybe you should try it once...

Well, since there no way for me to watch this race, I guess I'll just have to ask questions about it after the fact.
Is this a new thing PCS has started doing?

Of course, even if I could have watched, I would still have needed to ask this particular question afterwards.
What happened?
Merlier doesn't have a reputation for dangerous sprinting, does he?

The crash was on the finish line. Merlier and Groenewegen were contesting fourth place, and Merlier seemed to lose control of his bike and veered into Groenewegen causing both to crash. Merlier seemed to come off OK, however, Groenewegen was banged up.
