Is it worth to watch a second of this stage before tomorrow? I haven't... but Milan looks fast!

Some echelons indeed. Wind direction is good and it's very open. Wind will die down a bit tho and I doubt this sticks when they are on the local circuit cause then there will be some longer headwind parts too.

With a 49.3 km/h average speed we have the fastest ever stage in the Renwei, Benelux, BincBank, Eneco or Eneco Tour of Benelux races.
One more record for this year of "fastest ever".

Milan didn't have the legs given he get outsprinted by De LIe for example who was behind him
Maybe he had a mechanical issue after getting boxed against the fence by none other than Philipsen. Everyone was passing him at the end. However, there's been no statement from Lidl-Trek so far.

All your favourite bergs plus a few others but according to the weather forecast not your usual classics weather but more like 30 C - phew, sweaty.

Only misses Taaienberg, Molenberg, Koppenberg etc. but yeah, lots of classics: Oude Kruisberg, Oude Kwaremont, Patersberg, Berg Ten Houte, Gerardsbergen and Bosberg. Too bad it also clashes with an important mountain stage.

It will finish before 4. You won't miss anything from the Vuelta.

By far best Geraardsbergen stage since Benelux Tour exists. Looks like a real classic and with Van der Poel here this will explode pretty early. Lotto will try to control for Segaert but I think that's basically impossible, the best will ride away here.

I know, but still, I can imagine the race losing a decent amount of viewers. because of that. And I just prefer watching one race at a time, and the Vuelta will always triumph this race for me when its a big mountain stage.

Oh, crap, Mathieu will not start because of having hit his knee on the handlebars in that TT incident. And the pain didn't improve the last two easy stages :(
That's a real shame ... rushes out to put 2 centimes on De Lie.

Edit add - "Very warm and humid with clouds and sun; caution advised if doing strenuous activities outside." 31 C tops today according to the weather people. How many DNF today? A lot I reckon. Of course, what wind there is, is a headwind.
