Ricco

Anybody know what he's actually doing at the moment? Did he end up going back to be a barista or whatever?

Seen him post various photos of him with his top off/him with his Cipollini bike on Twitter. The other day he said "The Year 2012 amnesty on doping!! Everyone except Riccò of course"

Just interested.

Interesting that if there is an amnesty then would those riders banned have a way straight back into the sport?

and if not why not?

Ricco could be back cycling if the amnesty goes ahead.

Cant see him riding clean. Even now I doubt he rides clean.

Ricco will never ever ever ever ever be allowed to race again - amnesty or not

Because he's Ricco and everyone needs a scapegoat to throw under the bus. His greatest problem is having the wrong passport.

Being a moron isn't a problem in the peloton since most riders are barely housetrained and it doesn't stop them being welcomed. cf Frodo

Benotti - if you asked any pro to ride down to the shop to get a paper he'd want to shoot up first of all so I don't think Ricco is any different to any other cyclist in his inability to ride clean.

Where did you get this idea of an amnesty?

No, i dont think Ricco is any different. Contador has shown himself recently to have a Ricco streak with his 7 fingered salute. He might as well have given the middle finger to the fans who want to see a clean sport.

I didn't like to mention the C-word because the mere mention of it is likely to bring a whole load of pubescent teenagers and nationalists with a victimisation complex into the thread.

I don't think Ricco is the only knuckledragger in the peloton, Ricco isn't the only rider who flaunts his doping. But he does make a good punching bag to distract people from the real problems of the sport. He's a bit like Vino in that sense, when Vino won at the Olympics there were all the comments about how disgraceful that a doper was allowed to ride and win - ignoring of course the likes of David Millar, or all the dopers now involved with British cycling. Or the time Harmon was cheering on Piti and Cuddles to beat Vino. Making Vino, Ricco into these uber-bad guys means no one ever looks too closely at everyone else involved.

as he should. i don't even know why does it take so long for someone to do it. ignorants and hypocrites shouldn't be allowed to have opinions. (not offending anyone, just saying the truth as it must be said).

to the bolded. sorry about that, they already arrived^^^

Yeah i agree with Ricco and Vino (to a lesser degree) being the punch bags while others like Boonen, Wiggins and C pedal off scot free.

The same Mcquaid who says he wants life bans?

Well he talks about life bans when he is on the Guinness and amnesties when he is on the Jamesons.

:D

I doubt Ricco will get back as any team wanting to hire him will be ostracised like Aqua&sapone for taking on Di Luca this year. Though that wont stop lots trying for the publicity.
