But yeah, Sky bought all the best riders with their big budget that no one else could manage and thats why they have the only 3 riders that can beat Armstrong's times clean.
but Sky DID buy the best riders to fill the wholes, remember they still had to fulfill their defacto national team mandate, have TdF national rider within 5 years aspirations. So they bought Boasson, with always a look to Cav to fill the hole. Can Boasson Hagen was looking at the premier rider of the next generation in cobbled classics. And it was Peter Kennaugh that was seen at the second coming... not Wiggo.
And there are only 9 spots, in July. And those 9 spots, for a defacto national team, which had to foster the next British talent. Not the world cycling talent.
