According to weather reports, rain or wind should not be a factor in terms of departure times.

Australia are promoting Matthews heavily - suspect this means Gerrans is secret weapon:)

I suspect that Gerrans will attack while Matthews will stay in the pack waiting for the sprint, and maybe following a key move at the end of the race.

Does... not... compute...

Divide... by... zero.

Any chance for Malori to snatch a podium?

With Dumoulin probably being very tired and slightly injured, the fight for the bronze medal is rather open I think. Would say that Martin and Dennis are going to take the first two spots, but Malori could be third, although there are a lot of other contenders for that spot. Dumoulin himself, Kiryienka, maybe even Phinney or Oliveira.

The start order was spread because due to the laps they wanted to prevent a situation like 2009 with Larsson drafting Fäbu all the way to silver

The start order was spread in 2009 too (so there was no possibility to draft a rider on another lap). Larsson just started 1,5 minutes before Cancellara, and was able to draft since Cancellara slowed down after a ridiculously fast start. So it was possible to draft similarly now, but obviously it wouldn't have been enough for a medal in such a tight race.

Putting riders from different nations so far apart that same manager can follow is probably smart though. But I'm not a fan of multi lap TT's as they take ridiculously long with the spread.

I was getting confused. It's late afternoon here, start times are mid afternoon, and no one talks about the ITT and no live coverage, nothing. Then it dawned on me that the cn article gave local time and that a non-irrelevant cycling race is actually not in Europe, for once, but in America

It was great for me. :p Woke up and remembered I have time to do some things before the race gets started!

Plenty of attention on Quaade, but he didn't deliver at the first split. And it wasn't that close.

That result couple of years ago really hyped him up.
Lets see if Bialoblocki is the same story.

Dennis ftw! I hope Vasil will find a way to grab a podium place, maybe Dumoulin will be a little tired after La Vuelta.
