There's an article on the front page quoting Guercilena 'Let’s just say that the wish for the final year in his career is to compete in some of the biggest races that he’s never done' and the journalist concludes that means Cancellara's going to ride the Giro which 'He has never ridden'.

Except he has done the Giro before. More than once, in fact.
I assume Guercilena is talking about LBL and Lombardia, to the best of my knowledge Cancellara's never started those.

EDIT: Okay, that's funny. They fixed the article and deleted the comments pointing out the mistake

looking more and more like bar Kwait Sky's Tirreno team will also line up at the Giro.
Yeah. Kinda off-topic, but do you think this is Sky's classics team?

Stannard, Rowe, Puccio, Viviani, Van Poppel, Knees, Fenn, Moscon. (For E3, GW and Roubaix)

For Flanders, they'll add Kwiatkowski and Thomas and leave out Moscon (because he is so young) and one of the sprinters (either Viviani or Van Poppel).

Moscon strikes me more as a puncheur than a northern classics specialist. Danny is pretty good on cobbles so I expect he'll stay, and Viviani be left out for RVV.

OTOH Viviani was quite impressive at Richmond, and I know they are completely different but it should be taken into account.

Moscon is kinda versatile. Should be able to ride both the cobbled and hilly classics in the future. He was 2nd in the U23 Flanders. The perfect race for him would be something like Strade Bianche.

And I agree with you with the rest.

So Quintana isnt riding P-N and T-A, but Catalunya and Pais Vasco?

Yep, you won't see him much in the first part in order to be fresh for the 'heavy' second part with his big objectives TOUR/Rio/VUELTA. He will be doing San Luis and these Spanish stageraces and maybe Dauphine or Suisse before the Tour.

Landa:

Volta a la Comunitat Valenciana (3-7 febrero), Tirreno-Adriático (9-15 marzo), Vuelta al País Vasco (4-9 abril), Giro del Trentino (19-22 abril), ¿Lieja-Bastoña-Lieja? (24 abril), y Giro de Italia (6-29 mayo).

He'll win two or three of those and podium a few others knowing how Sky works. Also according to PCS this is Sky's planned Liege team:

Kwaitkowski, Golas, Kennaugh, Nordhaug, Roche, Kiriyenka, Henao, Landa

Strong support for Kwaitkowski.

Basque Country's gonna be a true fight with Aru, T-A depends on how strong his Sky team presents in the opening ttt and at the Giro he use to be Mikel Landani to crack Nibali!

Let the games begin!

Edith says she's got no clue whether Landa will peak for his first race a la Froome at Valenciana like Froome usually does. A bit sad he's not at Andalucia instead. Valenciana gonna be on Eurosport as well!?

Kwaitkowski & Kiriyenka should be able to get Sky a solid top 5 in that TTT.

Aru already said that his first real paek will be for Pais Vasco and LBL, so it could be a nice Giro rematch.

Yeah, I totally forgot about him being there too. This time around Landa ain't gonna wait for Aru so there might be some good racing on the table.
