Riders salaries

If everyone was up for a new contract right this second, who would get the most money?
I assume nobody would go for anyone other than Pog, Rog, Van Aert, Van der Poel or maybe Ala?
Its daft comparing what they are on now, when some of them signed their contracts 2 or 3 years ago.

That's kind of a thing I'm curious about; which riders on that list are on new(ish) contracts, and which are on old(ish) contracts?
Froome's is obviously new.

Valverde's was signed in 2019 so 2020 was the first year on his current contract.
Quintana's and Carapaz's were new for 2020.
Bernal's, if I remember correctly was signed after he won the Tour.
I think 2020 was Alaphilippe's first year on his current contract.

Before seeing the names on the list, I wrote down 20 names of who I thought would be on it. Only 2 mistakes, as I had Almeida and Simon Yates instead of Viviani and Bardet.

Almeida was a bit of a long shot but I thought UAE must have more than one rider there, but apparently not (Edit: and if I could count, there are indeed 2 with Gaviria in 20th, but I saw his name before beginning the exercise).

I don't trust this list...

I have a hard time believing Total can offer 5.5 million to any rider, let alone want to do so to a washed-up Sagan. Similar for a broke Astana and an ancient Nibali.

I can't see Evenepoel not being in the top-20 at this point.

I would be surprised if Ineos is paying six of the twenty highest salaries, including three of the top-6 and a re-signed Viviani, without making a move for better riders.

I would be shocked if Roglic, Van Aert and Van der Poel aren't among the very best-paid cyclists at this point, although they might be if bonuses and private sponsorships are factored in.

Literally looke like a ~december 2019 list apart from Van Aert and Pog
