Peloton is 1'30" back. Bardiani and Lampre likely the teams pulling. They have a chance.

Are the Eurosport guys right? Quintana is dropped from the chasing group? That's not a good sign for T-A

Which one is it?

The fact that he's got dropped by Pozzo on a gradient like that, says me he's not going to win FW and LBL against riders who are even better on the steep climbs. Ok, LBL doesn't have super steep climbs, but Valverde doesn't have it in the monuments after his suspension.

However, he looks good obviously, too good to mantain this form till the classics.

Not quite, it goes to proving that Declan Quigley knows about as much as a not very well informed punter on the couch. I'm sure there are lots of people watching (and posting here) who could do a much, much better job than Quigley, but I'm certainly not one of them.

haha yeah I'll give you that - at least he's stopped pronouncing Quintana in a way that rhymes with 'Cantona'!

You know, they are not really good on cobbles, like Quintana e.g.

Ah the old silly idea that a 10% climb on cobbles has anything to do with a flat run over pavé

Time and again when there's a climb like this the guy who climbs it fastest is Sastre, Contador, whoever, but people just won't accept reality not matching their expectations :p

Gap going out. Looks nailed on now unless Valverde blows completely

Valverde dragging someone else to the line :p
