Still a pity that he had to DNF the Giro. Would have been one if not the best climber there probably. But also happy that he did such a great build up for the Tour. Thats not always easy when the initial plan was different.

12 Stages and Alps done… And Bardet only 13 seconds behind Pogi in GC. That is a very strong performance from Bardet… He is one of the riders who love riding for DSM. Great for rider and team… :)

Give him a rainy day in the Pyrenees and he's got a real shot at the podium.
He said he overheated on the Alpe yesterday, but still finished strong.

Hm, seems to have actually improved his disastrous tt skills, good on him. Sadly his GC spot could have been much better but hopefully he gets another shot at the Giro next year.

He said today Pogacar aceleration is harder than Froome times...yes, Pogacar is much more explosive , especially for medium mountain stages, and I think he talks about the Tour he was podium, when Froome wasnt stronger than Urán..or even his team mate Landa. If he has so good numbers, he could drop Pogacar as he did this last Tour at Galibier stage. He is not going to follow him an aceleration at Eze climb, nor to Evenepoel...but he has not to desperate for that.

Romain's deficit to Uran wasn't bad. Rigo is one of my measuring sticks, he's reliable. OK for Bardet ahead of the Tour. He'll be looking at the Bastille Day stage.
