SD Worx can still lose this, if they ride against each other. Kopecky could just have let Reusser ride away when she had a few meters earlier to force Persico to work, but she doesn't want to let the victory escape her.

SD Worx do a Jumbo-Visma Vuelta a Burgos, when they caused a crash that resulted in the whole péloton being held up, then rode to the line celebrating the 1-2-3 of their leadout guys who were the only ones not held up.

I would be less bitter about it if it were the riders that I had picked in the Prediction Game though  (as a note, I nearly picked Persico thinking I could at least get a good bank of expected top 10 points, but was less likely to get the big points for wins and podiums).

Kopecky is really not covering herself with glory in terms of morality this season, but she's ruthless as hell.

That seems a bit harsh. She was help up like everyone else on The Koppenberg, but was in 3rd or 4th place. Reusser could have got away but that seemed to be a team decision as she was on the radio?

If it was an isolated incident perhaps, but she's making a habit of some somewhat questionable plays.

Either way, Reusser's suffering and it's a straight one-on-one up front now.

At least Persico isn't slow and could give Kopecky a run for her money, especially if she sits on some

Labous, Henderson and ELB tailed off, Reusser taken in by Niewiadoma, van Anrooij and Vollering. Persico rightly saying, sure, I'll give you a turn... but only once in a while. Visually it's clear that Kopecky is the more comfortable of the two. Reminiscent of Deignan and Johansson back in 2016. And just like then I'm rooting for the clearly weaker rider.

2 SDW's in the group behind yet Kopecky so insistent it has to be herself that she drags Persico along, really hope itll bite her in the end

Van Anrooij what a talent. Would love to see Pieterse and Van Empel here in the future.
They can all be great but I actually think Van Empel has the most road potential. With she and Pieterse it may come down to how much they focus on the road and how much mountain bike they wind up doing.
