It isn't. PRC had initially introduced the idea of a Fortaleza de la Mota climb back in 2013 because the Valdepeñas de Jaén stage working made it plausible.I don't see today's finish as more cramped than the frequently visited murito at Valdepeñas de Jaén.
The narrowest point inside the fortress comes after they've been climbing for a while, with the last section on cobbles. I'm sure Guillén is going to send Escartín on a visit there.
The lad is only 20yo and not Remco levelCarlos Rodriguez cracked pretty hard.
When did they change the status? when was that?Great win for Aquaman Lopez - hope he gets better luck , less crashed & and more results with Movistar

And... the bullying of Hodeg continues.Great route for a sprinter. "Oh, you won't do the Giro because we got Evenepoel, Almeida and Masnada for GC, but look, you can do the Ruta del Sol, doesn't that sound nice and sunny?"

(Okay, it was probably more like "Shut up, you didn't get any results, here's Andalucia, go there.")
Talking about being unfortunateAt least he's doing than birthday boy Mark Cavendish who didn't finish yesterday, which means that Hodeg should be there chosen man for today.
Jay Vine has had an even worse time in Andalucia. He succumbed to the heat on stage 1, then crashed on stage 2 and ended up with a hole in his left leg, but he still managed finished the stage before being taken to hospital. There he got an allergic reaction to the stuff they gave him, resulting in a rash on his body and a swollen face. He is fortunately back home/on his way home to Girona now.

What a finish on stage 5 of Andalucia - Stannard was going to win the stage when Impey veered out and took out both riders 25 metres from the finish line - Stannard was giving it to Impey who was prone on the ground - Feel sorry for Stannard who has been battling to take his first win as a professional.
