The look of shame on his face when he accepted that trophy was priceless. He knows damn well if it wasn't for that chain accident, he'd be in the dust. Next Year Andy will win and AC will go home riding a Diamondback....:D
The English have a great word for this – ********.:D

Conversely, if it was not for stage three, he would not have a lead. So, why didn't Cancellara and Schleck wait for Contador who was caught out by Frank Schleck's fall AND a mechanical? Why did they not wait for the Maillot Jaune, Chavanel, who had not one, not two, but three mechanicals?

Face it, Saxo are coached by an avowed doper who has yet to return his yellow jersey. Get over the Chaingate crap. Think about Stage 3-gate. Wait for next year.

Yawn, get a life dude.
What are you talking about? Those sleazy Saxo *******s broke so many unwritten rules of cycling, haven't you read the book of unwritten rules of cycling? Alberto should have won by at least four minutes.

Agreed, remove that whole Stage neutralization crap and Schleck would have been fighting for a top 30 finish. Next year, no gifts and courtesies. Alberto is going to win with a five minute margin, wait and see.:D

These Lance fanboys still haven't got over the Verbier stage last year. Get over it, your hero is finished and heading to jail :D

This might seem really obvious, but if your claim was true, I think we would have seen AS on the top step of the podium. What did you see on Sunday afternoon?

I bet you were a Lance fan last year, right? The fact is, if AS didn't have luck in the stage with the cobbles, he would never have been in yellow at all. From AC's perspective:

AC beats AS by 0:42 after the prologue
AS beats AC by 1:13 on the stage with the cobbles (at least 0:20 due to mechanical)
-----------
AS leads by 0:31
AS beats AC by 0:10 in a mountain stage
------------
AS leads by 0:41
AC beats AC by 0:10 in a mountain stage
-------------
AS leads by 0:31
AC beats AS by 0:39 due to AS not shifting properly
-------------
AC leads by 0:08
AC beats AS by 0:31 in the ITT
----------------------------
AC wins by 0:39

AS lost due to a poor prologue and ITT.

Or as a result of poor tactics. I was just talking to a friend about the dropped chain incident and he brought up a good point - that it didn't make a lot of sense for AS to attack at that point anyway because even if he did gap AC, there was a lot of downhill left for AC and company to chase back on. (As it was, AS lost about 25" on that descent.)
