Frankie was frustrated that he was behind. He probably figured that he had to target Rasmussen to pass him. #FAIL The roads were narrow, if you recall.

Do you discount this possibility? Frankie's a bit thick, you know. Why would his teammates do that for him, though? He is no Lance Armstrong. They don't answer to him and certainly won't cause a rider to crash for him.

Yeah I must say I discount this possibility ... everyone crashes and causes others to crash but to say someone does it purposefully and with malice of forethought, that is a serious accusation ...

But I agree with RedheadDane, this is the worst possible way of handling this. They should have talked it out among themselves and not communicate through the media. Another classic Radiofail, they thought it was a good idea to put it on the website

Meh. It's one man's word against another's and we will probably never know exactly what happened. Frank's explanation is not totally implausible. Why did he lose time? He was held up by something. He's shown that he's at least in good enough shape to not drop time on a sprint stage like he did yesterday. Was it all Alex's fault though? Who knows? Moving on...

grande cobra!!!

gotta say it's good to have a feud from time to time in the peloton.and i'm actually impressed by frank for having a go at rasmussen.now i'd like to see andy making a gesture to gabrovsky:D
really that's good stuff by razi and frank.

I can not imagine what gabrovski will do to andy if something goes wrong :D

Storm in a glass of water guys. Danish TV2 would love to make a big story out of this, and instantly confronted Frank with the statement "Alex calls you a liar, whats your response to that?" (or something of the sort anyway)

Such dramaqueens journalists.

Btw, having seen Alex in person, I really don't think Frank should be going around calling him out. :p

Game is on. Rasmussen retweets:

Alex Rasmussen‏@AlexRazi
F Schleck needs to learn about the laws of physics. If you choose to purposefully take out a rider, don't choose one twice your size. #snap

EDIT: I can see I am mega slow. Anyways, this is fun. bring more popcorn

I like the other one, too:

Meanwhile.....UCI says they cant find Rasmussen. However, Frank says "he's right fooking here! And he won't get out of my way!"

:D

If it were anyone else than F Schleck or A Schleck nobody wouldve cared and all the silly fangirls & fanboys of a certain banned rider wouldnt jump on the tweeting machines to say how evil F Schleck is for calling out Rasmussen given a push and causing him to crash..

Says all about those 2 doesnt it ;) But tbh, we would care even it it was two others. That kind of war between 2 riders is always spetacular

Who cares, this is hilarious. Pure, unadulterated high school drama!

It' would'nt be hilarious if it was Contador though and he lost time. If that happenned we would never hear the end of it around this place and Rasmussen would be called every name under the sun.

No we will say its fun, and that the two should have a punch up. regardless of the riders involved we will still like it. And contadors fanboys and fangirls doesn't make them tweet the problems, it was first seen on rsnt website and after that things get lively. :D

I still remember the brief burst of paranoia and squealing about sinister Russian mafia hitman Kanstantsin Sivtsov trying to fulfill a contract on Alberto by throwing him in a ditch at last year's Tour.

Unfortunately Contador had the good sense to keep his cake hole shut after the incident and not create a hugely amusing silly feud. Or possibly he was just afraid that Kanstantsin would have his family whacked.

Alberto wouldn't have said anything if it had happened to him. He has too much class for that. Besides, when Alberto is on form, losing time waiting behind a crash is usually a non issue. Frank is making excuses, as the Schleck brothers often do.

Twitter is most public figures worst enemy, athletes especially, when they feel the need to communicate to the masses immediately after an event. Adrenalin flowing, all logic and reasoning is lost and I'm certain they often look back in regret at their hasty and emotional messages. I haven't seen the incident and we haven't had any witnesses corroborate either rider's version of what transpired so we're left to do what we do: speculate.

It's great isn't it? Frank and Alex have brightened up a lot of people's day with this stuff.

If I recall correctly there was much fun of Contador's being bounced out of the peloton during last year's Tour supposedly by an elbow from, was it Vladimir Karpets? It was some large eastern European fellow.:) Correct me if I'm wrong but that's how I remember the reaction in the cn forum.

Bloody hell, you are right. It was Karpets. All those sinister Russian mafia hitmen look the same to me.

The first elbow was from Contador who was trying to gain positions. Karpets then returned the favor .........albeit with a little more force. :D
