Forget about Mollema. I can't believe they didn't mentioned the next GT superstar Edvald Boasson Hagen.

Unfortunately, I'm a Van den Broeck fan. Pistols at dawn. The Hitch said:Actually i do care.
TO rate JVDV above Samu Sanchez is an insult equal to or worse than the stupid statement about Carlos Sastre. It would have been more polite engage in a tirade of insults against his family, call his mother a **** and say that he thinks his grandma can climb faster than Sanchez on the Tourmalet, than to rate VDB above the Asturian.

So you really can't read. Hint: what might the Schlecks have said about a certain ex-colleague that may be interpreted by the visitors of this forum as being slightly derogatory? Everything else in this thread is just fun and jokes.Christian said:lol a 6 page (and counting) thread begs to differ
Thank you, I thought it was a fairly inspired and succinct way to put it myself. Care to explain why I was wrong? Obviously, if you take a look at Sastre's TdF achievements (which are much better than Andy's so far, and compared to which Fränk's are embarrassing) you'll realize Andy is utterly wrong when he calls his 2008 victory a "fluke" and claims he's never got close to the podium aside from that one year.Christian said:I came about this far, a masterpiece in eloquency, diplomacy, and not to mention modesty

Christian said:What might a certain ex-colleague have said about them which no one seems to remember? I completely agree that they should have kept it out of the press, but they weren't the ones who brought it into the press to begin with. Sastre isn't the inncoent victim in this story, but no one calls his comments "derogatory".
Christian said:He was on the podium once (I know, hang on) and was close once. Everything else was far off.
He did great when he won (second podium of course), but I think that it is indeed fair to say that it was an odd year (absence of Contador and Rasmussen for example) and that he had the strongest team (not only the Schlecks but also the others). I don't think anyone wants to diminish his achievements but at the same time it is fair to mention that it was an odd year, and that he will most likely never be able to perform on that level again.
As Lance would put it: "I have nothing against Christian Vande Velde. But 5th in the Tour? Come on."
Roland Rat said:+1.
But what makes me most depressed is that Fat Pat has clearly hitched his wagon to Schlecklet, which means he's pretty much untouchable.![]()

When Andy was nice to Contador ---> what a d-bag, Cipo is right, he has a vagina, he should talk more trash and be more agressive
When Andy talks trash ---> what a moron, he should show some modesty and respect, hope he gets destroyed by Contador in every race
The hypocrisy level is ridiculous.
He is the logical favourite for the Tour, he got asked who he thinks his main rivals will be, he answered the question. Just because he left your favourite rider(s) out doesn't mean he knows nothing about cycling. It was just his opinion. If you don't like it, take a crash-course with Cipo.
Why didn't they mention Contador: If he can race it goes without saying that he is the main favourite
" " " " Menchov: It's not looking so good for Geox

Completely disgraceful comments in my opinion. Whom do they think they are...
The sastre comments were very immature and demonstrates their delusion.
TeamSkyFans said:I never thought Id say this, But i hope Contador rides the tour, and I hope that he and Riis rub the schlecks pretty little fashionable noses in it and AC gets another tour.
ak-zaaf said:Sastre's win was, in the end, a once in a lifetime opportunity. But he took it.
Little Andy already had 2 chances. In 2008 he failed in the Pyrenees, last edition he failed to take down a vulnerable Contador. (Since Contador is normally the far better rider)
veganrob said:I can't agree with you here at all. If Andy wants to be a big boy with balls, start talking smack about AC. He is the guy Andy will never beat in a race.

I have never been a big fan of Riiss or Contador, but the way the schlecks behaved last year at Saxo was disgraceful, and AC as far as Im concerned is being made a scapegoat for doing just what the schlecks are doing anyway. And the fact Pat has as RR Put it, hitched his wagon to team leopard makes me even more sick.
i have no interest in what either of those numpties has to say, and I honestly hope the tour turns into a spectactular disaster for both of them.![]()
