leinders wasn't convicted in 2008 or 2009 for sure. the whole rasmussen trial came to court decision only last year or even this year I can't remember

Do you really believe Sky hired a doctor and did no digging into his background?

Plenty of Sky riders could've told them what Leinders did at Rabo,

Mathew Hayman
Juan Antonio Flecha Giannoni
Steven de Jongh

to name 3........

I have a pyramid scheme you would love:rolleyes:

Inside Team SKY : Leinders was actually recommended by De Jongh at the end of 2010.

Back about Henao, SKY internal controls have shown that Henao had abnormal blood values so they took him out of their line-up during 3 months to study the case.
And now ? Did they find out something ? probably not if he's authorised to start in Switzerland
So idoes Henao now have waivers for SKY internal controls ? Should he declare his abnormal parameters at the UCI as well (like guys declare Hct > 50%) ?
That would be interesting to know

UCI Anti-doping wing and WADA have both been copied on the results.

Don't know if that counst as being 'declared' or not, but they are in the know.

We have no idea about the details. The abnormality was raised by Sky not by the UCI. Plus the lack of controls and the new lab in Bogota all help in the uncertainty. So it is not really black and white.

What internal controls? Henao's abnormalities were found in new OOC ADA tests. Perhaps you'll have better luck than Benotti in finding some documentary evidence of Sky's internal compliance testing. This is one pernicious myth.

So Henao was a GC hope (up there at any rate) for Sky at Tour de Suisse, went on a TT recce ride by himself and broke his patella.

The rest of the year is off.

Cynical me would like to see a pic of him recovering post-surgery.

without any of his team mates? without a coach / swanny / follow car / bottle carrier?

If they can fit the Jag in the hospital for the recovery shot, for sure :D Those Jags look nice :D

Come on guys. There are lots of reasons to suspect Sky, and those should certainly be discussed. But this stuff is just offensive.

What the heck are you talking about?

I do find it strange that they left his broken bike on the side of the road.

who is going to pick it up??? Henao was by himself, crashed...probably taken by ambulance...but hey...shame on Henao for not picking up after his own crash, right? Jebus, the discussion here simply is making me dumber...

Dear Wiggo is probably just assuming he was riding the course with teammates or with staff on Sky and is curious why one of them didn't pick it up. No foul in that post IMO.

The reason is probably what others said, either he was by himself and was taken to the hospital directly in a ambulance or they just wanted to get him to the hospital fast and didn't think about it.

I keep wondering why one of their top riders would be out for a ride , on an unfamiliar course, by himself

So I read a report that said Henao
* had a stack
* broke something weird (who lands on only their knee?)
* was not going to ride again this year
* was doing 30 km/hr on his TT bike as part of a recon ride (who does 30 km/hr on a TT bike without the brakes on?)

Then:
* saw a couple of comments saying he was riding by himself -
* read the report and there was no mention of how he got to the hospital with help from team car etc.
* saw a picture from Tinkov show a busted frame, left lying on the side of the road (who leaves a bike on the side of the road? I mean seriously. Team car can't fit it in the boot? Volunteers were there - they didn't grab it? Noone else for miles, or there were other people, see a really expensive bit of kit, albeit broken, and just leave it?)

but then later I saw a report where he mentions the people (ie multiple) in the team car were horrified by what they saw as it happened.

Then saw a report where he hit a car.
Then saw a report where a truck hit him.

You know, it reminds me of the original Henao + Colombia reports I read, and the JTL incident: clear as mud and consistent as the weather in Melbourne.

So yes, I wonder if they are staging the accident due to something going wrong again with his blood, and having to bench him for the year.

Hence I asked for a post-op pic, like the one Horner posted, which I know can be staged as well, but, you know?

Apparently, this is either offensive (Beech Mtn), or silly (hrotha).

Wait.....you're being serious?

Wait.. you're seriously accepting all the pieces of this reporting and find nothing unusual about it?

Are you a fan of Sky?

Oh, never mind then.
