There are a couple of young talented riders of which I'm curious to see how they will do in the hilly stage today, like Kudus and Bolivar. They both did well in Langkawi, but they were riding against nobodies. Not that this race has a very high level field, but it will be interesting to see how they perform in a hill stage compared to Ulissi, Pellizotti.

interesting that Cataldo chose different front wheel. Does anybody know why should he do so?

Normally you might ride a shallower front wheel if it was v.windy. Trispokes can take some handling if it's windy, particularly in a TTT so he may simply be more comfortable handling-wise on a shallower front. Considering the other three rode tri-spokes, it could just be that Cataldo punctured in the warmup or just before the start and needed a quick change.

Let's be honest: Sky's team is just unfair compared to the competition here.

Yes it does look that way,

WT teams already on Vuelta + classic races so here it should be a 3rd team, not to unfair if you look at it this way.

Seems more a matter of luck + sending some 1st line guys (Kiri, Kennaugh and Cataldo) to this race instead of Catalunya.
