The very fact that Brailsford had to make a public statement about Sutton's moving on being IN NO WAY CONNECTED WITH DOPING but instead the result of a lot of management doublespeak really tells you all you need to know

It's ok. I have many friends here who were part of those days and we talk on PM frequently.

We post at free will. Others have a job they're performing and getting paid.

BC used to make many trips to Oz to study their track program.

those pesky skybots... ;)

What are the chances Sutton will be picked up by another team now that he's linked to Leinders and the potential fallout of that investigation?

Sutton and most of BC's top track cyclists were in Oz, for 5 weeks, just last month.....
....for warm weather training.

It's a pity that you never contribute to the track forum.
It needs more input.

Was there anyone in the 2012 Sky management team who hadn't been involved in doping during their careers?

Knaven is still there I see. He'll be the next one to fall.

I've never trusted Sutton. Things I heard about him from my track days were not good.
My father told me 'if you can't say something nice,
don't say anything at all' so I will not say anything
at all about our friend's 'track days.'

What was this bad news, or did hog make things up again?

"Soon" is all relative. 15 months is nothing is geological time

Sutton was named British Cycling's technical director last week. Promotions are bad news......more work, less time on the bike. Bad news

More top management technique from Sutton, criticising his riders in public. Remember his open criticism of Nicole Cooke, his treatment of Pendleton and Houvenaghel? Doesn't seem to like women much does he?

Shane Sutton, 1957 just called, it wants its prejudice back.

I saw Shane Sutton being interviewed on the BBC yesterday. It was quite a long interview. He was asked about doping in cycling.

He said doping had been a problem in the past, but they have all these safeguards now. Cycling was really cleaning up its act. Then, he said this:

I think parents today can be assured when they put their kids into cycling, they are putting them into a clean sport.

Spot on.

Another example of how, if you win some sports stuff, you can carry on how you like.

I'm surprised Shane holds down a public position on tax payers money. He is a neanderthal.

Talk about hysterical. What is wrong with what he has said?

She's ruined her chances at the worlds and possibly at the olympics, not only hers but also her team mates. Fair play to Shane for telling it like it is. He could have just made an excuse for her but what would she learn from that? Sport is a tough business and she has a big tram behind her helping her to be the best she can be and then she goes and falls off her motor bike. Not very professional.

It's not so much what he said, it's that he said it in public. That's poor management and it's not like he hasn't got 'previous' on that front.

agree
he should have kept it behind closed doors.
BUT he's right, she did NOT have to risk
this is confirmed by the fact that she said she crashed riding a BICYCLE at first, then she admitted she was on a motorbike...
if she crashed during training he wouldn't be so angry and pissed
