abso-fuckin-lutely.means they are very worried he'll go rouge on the whole lot
Here I'm less certain. It's now certain he'll burn the house down.

He will probably get another gig in China, or similar emerging sporting nation as far as cycling goes. He may continue working with BC riders in a private capacity.
But i dont expect Sutton to blow the BC system open.

As always, it'll be someone completely off the radar. Someone who sees how Sutton and Brailsford are being taken care of and gets frustrated that they're getting nothing. There's a lot of hard workers at BC that had to put up with all the bull crap and were left with nothing. Like Armstrong, these jokers dumped on a lot of people... I'm sure there's another Landis out there. JTL?Benotti69 said:Ironhead Slim said:Yup, ticking time bomb. (along with a certain Sir BW)
I can well see SBW having a meltdown.
It's funny how we let nonsense like this slide. Barely a week ago The Mail, who appear to have a good source within British Cycling, reported that the reason Sutton's planned comeback - he is alleged to have had supporters in the upper echelons of the governing body - had to be nixed was the Jiffy bag story. And that was not last minute. That was last year.sniper said:BC were and still are scared shitless of Sutton. The committee re Varnish was going to absolve him fully, but something happened very last minute that compelled them to uphold one of the nine charges.

Furthermore, the "committee" investigating the matter was never going to absolve Sutton fully. Read what the latest Mail story says: it says the grievance officer (not a committee) found him more guilty but the board of British Cycling - within which Sutton has his supporters, remember - reversed some of the findings allegedly "because of his 'innate ability to coach riders to medal-winning performances'."
That seems to be why Sutton had support: he (like Brailsford) was seen as the goose laying the golden eggs that secured the lottery funding that kept the board in prawn sandwiches and junkets. But of course it's easier to believe he had that support because the board is scared of him spilling his guts (and ripping apart the edifice he has successfully erected around himself over a career in the sport).
Help us Hoggy, laugh a little and run with this one, but going rouge ... he's going to attack the board with a blusher, plaster their cheeks in the wife's warpaint in an effort to accentuate their cheekbones? Cause, you know, I'd pay to watch that, you would too I'm sure, a mad make-up artist on the lose, that'd be only brilliant.thehog said:they are very worried he'll go rouge on the whole lot

Not JTL, too short a stay at Sky.
I think SBW is favourite.
His win was gifted to him by Froome and that eats at him and as we saw he likes to take digs at Froome and also refused to give his share in TdF'12 prize money for a few years etc etc.

Look. Kimmage already gave the game away in his interview. He received an anonymous email with regards to the package. Many others got he same. We all know what was in the package months ago and what transpired. Sutton was pissed at Brailsford for not making sure he was reinstated. They gave him more money on gardening leave and was meant to be put back in by the board. Something changed. Nevertheless Sutton sent a FU and a warning shot that he'all drop more if he's not protected. Hence the leak on the Varnish report which exonerated Sutton with Cookson and Walsh backing him in the press.
It's very clear what's going on. Where else can this information be coming from. Yesterday's report was also leaked as many were worried it would be watered down by the board.
Sutton is your man and he's it going to be any nicer about it now that he is unemployable.
When asked if Sutton should work in cycling coaching again, she said: "From my experiences, no."
DirtyWorks said:Memories are short and documentation scarce in cycling. I know it's been a few years, but, according to Sky, information on Leinders was 'impossible' to find.
Can you clarify the theory here, please? The December leak of the original British Cycling report into Varnish's allegations - the leak that showed only one of her complaints was upheld - you're saying that came from Sutton, yes? Are you also accusing him of having leaked the Jiffy bag story, shopped it around with the wrong dates? And are you fingering him too for the leak of the Phelps report? Where do Chris Froome's machinations fit into all this, is he just being an opportunist?thehog said:Look. Kimmage already gave the game away in his interview.
