Nieve could also ride the Tour as Porte will be riding the Tour & Konig ???

Possibly but it depends on how well they come out of the Giro and also how well Sergio Henao, Poels, Roche, Kennaugh, Thomas etc are going come July.

With Henao riding the Tour I'd leave Nieve to go for stage wins in the Vuelta.

Can anyone who speaks better Spanish than me say what Henao is saying?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y59-SxEPu2A

Im mostly interested if he says something about why he is not performing like he/we was/were expecting so far? Is he still a bit ill or not recovered from his illness in Trentino? Or is he not talking about that at all.

The first sentence is correct. He was not performing the first stages like he was expecting. But said that the stages have been raced very hard from the beginning. He is expecting to be better in the next two weeks and support Richie 100% in the hunt for the pink jersey.

The Trentino part was more related to his cousing Sergio Henao. That he has surprised a lot of people with his come back.

Anyone knows if Henao is coming back to Europe to race in Poland, towards an eventual participation at the Vuelta?

Not sure, it would have made sense if he came back and rode Poland towards the Vuelta. I notice sky are down to ride the Czech cycling tour which finishes a week before the Vuelta so perhaps he goes there with Konig.

Sky isn't going to Czech Cycling Tour, the race don't appear in their website and the team isn't mentioned in the race's website.

PCS got it wrong when they annouced that König would ride. He will probably be there but with the Czech National Team.

Ah thanks for the info, so in that case the only races for Henao are Poland (where I don't think he goes) or Eneco.

Re: Sign here if you think Henao is a future star on the eur

I'm disappointed that Henao is not doing Clasica San Sebastian as Sky sent there an experimental team.Henao should be at the start of Tour of Poland/Eneco to prepare La Vuelta.Hopefully the story from Le Tour will not repeat and will be in the team this time.

Really hope Sergio Henao starts in Poland or San Sebastian. Their San Sebastian squad is not official yet right? I see that Sebastian Henao is currently scheduled for San Sebastian on Satuday, London Classic (why?) on Sunday and then Tour of Denmark that starts on Tuesday. Cant imagine that is right so I still hope Sergio gets in the CSS squad.
Hope Sergio leaves Sky as soon as possible.

Sebastian is leading Avenir, so his schedule is bit differently made than typically.

With Kwiat coming Serio should leave indeed, I loved Sergio at Sky but now he wont even lead the Pais Vasco/Ardennes..

Over in Poland, Sergio Henao is likely to lead the general classification charge between August 2-8 in a squad suited to this hilly WorldTour stage race.
Ian Boswell, Philip Deignan, Vasil Kiryienka, David Lopez, Mikel Nieve, Salvatore Puccio and Xabier Zandio are also making the trip to Eastern Europe and will be aiming for more points to keep Team Sky at the top of the WorldTour team rankings.

Seems like Sebastian isnt doing London, just CSS + Denmark so thats a good thing as well :)

Wouldn't say so, Kireynka should be top dog with 25km ITT, especially as he should make the hilly stages with best considering past editions of Pologne..with Nieve, Lopez and Sergio they got lots of options though.

I definitely underestimated those stages :D :D

Happy for Sergio, finally a win..I think this was the same stage Moser beat him in last few metres few years ago(?) so glad he takes a win here..he must love Poland by now, Pais Vasco and here produce his best reuslts.

He looks fit for the Vuelta. He is more explosive than Landa and Aru, I think.

Stage 2, 4 and 6 are perfect for him.
