Interview with Johan Chaves this morning. The colombian, Team leader of Colombia Coldeportes and big victim of the TTT, is optimist for the next stages.

Chavez2.jpg

Johan, you look a bit dissapointed, without this characteristic smile in your face.

JC: "Yes. Yesterday was one of the worse days of my professional career. The fact that we are only five riders have affected us pretty much."

Chaves is at more than 20' from Van Garderen in the GC. Is the dream of win the race, Broken?

JC: "Last year i was Giro D'Italia podium. I promised myself to fight for the victory in the next edition of the Tour de France. Now this is a difficult challenge but i'll try it. This is the right mentality. Never give up. The race is not finished. I have two tough stages in the Alps and then a decisive Pyrenées. This only just begin. The same Van Garderen can win in the TT'S he could lose it in the mountains."

In four days arrive the high mountain. Which is going to be your tactic in this terrain? Your terrain.

JC: "My tactic and Atapuma's one will be attack. And then attack again. We want to offer a great show for cycling fans. The same did Fabio Parra and Lucho Herrera in the eighties. Epic Cycling."

Today stage between Lorient and Mur de Bretâgne suit your characteristics. True?

JC: "Yes. I am an explosive climber with some punch so the final in the Mur de Bretâgne is good for me. I'll go for the stage victory."

That's all Johan. Thanks for your time and good luck.:)

JC: "Thanks for you."

6th stage of this TDF between Lorient and the Mur de Bretâgne. The same of the 2011 edition, won by Cadel Evans. 172 kms of rough terrain with some difficulties and hills. The final ascent will be decisive for decide the stage winner. A short climb of 2 kms with ramps of the 12%. Puncheurs and explosive climbers will have a great opportunity here.

Let's go with the live!

Only 50 kms left:eek: The peloton is riding very fast and the stage goes with a frenetic rhytm. 4 riders in the break of the day: Gorka Izaguirre (Euskaltel Euskadi) Stefan Denifl (IAM Cycling) Sven Vandousselaere (Lotto) and Andrea Palini (Lampre)

They have 3'40". The best classified is Gorka Izaguirre at more than 30 minutes.
In the peloton Radioshack and Cannondale are pacing with all they have. Gallopin and Sagan/Moser are big favourites today. They have controlled the breakway.
