And you dont call that aesthetics?

I call it requirements :)

Precision predetermined movements with invisible leg/rein aids making horse/rider appear to move effortlessly as one. It is balletic but the winner is determined by passing the 'test'. It takes Years of training by both horse and rider and certainly isn't won by being the best looking! It is won by being the most precise and faultless and showing no effort while doing so.

Classical horsemanship is very aesthetically pleasing but I think you need another sport if you want one based on looks and not performance.

Maybe a dog show?

How's about an Alien dopers delight match-race up Ventoux?

Froome, Ricco, Basso 2006, Cobo 2008 and Di Luca.

I think Froome-dawg would take it.

If you added a TTghen certainly. He'd beat all the other dopers.

The day Cancellera rides one handed up a HC climb whilst turning around gesturing to the yellow jersey then we’ll be scared

Someone told me Spartacus is on a serious weight loss program over Xmas.

Wouldn't that be Spartacus himself who said that whilst at elevation in Switzerland last month? You know at St Moritz?:D

It was Schumacher's break that Cancellara ate up for 10 minutes.
The dopers you name are all allegedly climbers, unlike Fabian.
Didn't figure you for a defender of Riis's riders.
Cancellara fanboy???

No idea what Sky had to do with anything back in 2008.
They sure had zero to do with my post.

Not so much on fire as blowing a bit of smoke.

I didn't support Riis riders that year, I just find it very odd that Spartacus stood out for you. Yes I know what day you were referring to, but it was half a mountain and Bjarne had Cancellara, both Nikki Sorenson and Chris Anker Sorensen, the hardest man alive Jens Voigt and I think in the end Andy Schleck do pulls at the front. All of them put the hammer down for the entire day. Schumacher was waiting for Kohl and went very, very early in the break. Stupid move because it amounted to nothing. Yet he never paid for that effort. I'd wager Spartacus paid more because he was beaten again by Schumacher.

You're right, my apologies, had nothing to do with Sky. All their big names were absolutely garbage that year or early level pro's.

But seriously, everyone knows Ricco and his Saunier cohorts were the suspect ones that year. They were the odd looking ones. Hence the reaction when he was popped. It infuriated half the peloton and still does to this day. That's because of how out of this world he was. Cancellara was one hill. Ricco IMO was holding back. They hadn't of caught him, Tour win was his easy. Just like Rasmussen the year before, except this time Contador wasn't there to make it a little more bearable.

And Schumacher. Never believed him. When I heard a number of riders had been popped for CERA besides Ricco I knew who. Look at Cancellara at the Olympics the next month. Still utterly devastating. Schumacher was crap. That's the class part coming through. Kohl was believable because he never went above Evans or Sastre. Schumacher did. Only rider on Gerolsteiner who could, hence why he was the one in the move out the front that day. Look at him now. Just like Pellizotti. A shadow of his former self. Contrast with Fabian. He's still kicking the behinds of most riders. Hence less suspicious because he is all class.

Note I never said he was clean, just less suspicious because he is relatively constant. It's the big jumpers, the guys who improve beyond believe very quickly who are the dodgy ones. It's like playing with Plutonium. Everyone near those sorts gets dirty.

For the record, Bjarne needs to go. Like yesterday. No room left for him in the sport, despite the jobs he's given guys. He's the lesser of many evils. At least we know he admitted to doping other DS haven't even gone that far. And Contador though in a weird paradox, has stated life bans are needed. Maybe Riis had a part in that. Saxo in 2010 were a stronger team than 2008. 2009 they kind of weren't noticed because of Astana's super juggernaut team. But 2008 was not that teams strongest squad. IMO, slightly less opposing rivals, hence why they looked so dominant. Was just Evans, Kohl and Vande Velde against all of CSC and Cadel had to take them all on alone. I don't think Bjarne's team is clean, but they aren't the dirtiest nor the dodgiest IMO. Look at their ranking ATM. Just Contador holding CQ points for them and his ban penalty still holds. Not a super strong team ATM but a team that supports one leader who wins. Now contrast with Sky. Team of multiple leaders who can win. I know who I'd be targetting first if I was a tester or the fuzz.

see stage 1, and Van de Veldes dig in the last 5 kms. Or first intermediate mountain stage, think Kirchen won that before his aneurism.

Totally forgot about Kirchen. Was very good at the start of the race. Totally forgot about Kim. Good rider. Put in some great efforts for Columbia. Loved that jersey BTW. Looked great. Valverde looked good at the start of the race as well. But Ricco out shone them all. Christian Vande Velde had a very strong Tour. Stable climbing and solid chrono all around. His final chrono time BTW was what Cadel needed to do to be even with Sastre on time. JV has said CVV was the best natural guy at USPS, so that gives an idea of the 2008 field. IMO, I can buy the idea now that the BioPassport changed the level of doping the peloton utilised. Definitely not like the 2007 Tour nor the 2009 Tour. 2007, 2009 and 2012 seem IMO appearance wise to be the dirtiest. Too many jumps in performance. I hope 2013 is cleaner looking all year, but I won't hold my breath.

The thing is I look back at the 2008 Tour and I can see how it's possible a lot of the riders thought maybe they'd try and race with as little help as possible. Thus of course a few bad eggs ruined it and we get some guys jumping above their past efforts. Some more exaggerated than others. I'd also note the guys who were constant, were never popped. Still officially clean. The guys who are up and down like a yo-yo have been caught for the most part.

You missed out the one you encourage to dope.

The problem with you Hog, and other accusaers of Froome on here is you have f all evidence that he dopes, you are like witchhunters in 16th century England.

But you the Hog are the worse as you luv youre on Spanish Doper.

And yes I attack the poster, because seeing the lies and the loves of the poster helps to understand their message more clearly.

If it wasn't for the AFLD Ricco would have been Top 3 at that Tour.

Kohl 2nd. Sastre may not have won.

Cadel would have been 5th.

Funny Tour that year. Cobo and PiPi would have been disruptive.

Leave Cobo alone. He's never tested positive, never been named in a sting, never been flagged on the bio passport.

Innocent until proven guilty, guys.

I know. I have to go easy on Cobo. There’s not a shred of physical evidence against him. And he had a very difficult career with injuries and other health issues so he’s a late bloomer

This is not about me. Remember that.

Have to say. Ricco & Basso look positively normal next to Froome-dawg.

Is he actually a real human being?
