Looks like Sky have had their UCI protection taken away. Kiri and Lopez have looked like club riders all Tour. Only Bernie and G can hold their heads up out of the Sky team.

Today I join the bandwagon... of Sky haters.
But not because of doping, marginal gains, grey area or whatever shit, no, no, it´s because Sky´s overpaid master can´t even spot his best rider during a GT.
He did the "trick" three times now, wasting his best rider in "support" for one that won´t be able to win (or finishing high):
2011; Sky lost the 2011-Vuelta b/c of Froome supporting Wiggins.
2012; Sky got lucky that the course favoured the weaker rider to prevail. Again they wasted Froome for Wiggins.
2013; The marginal tacticans almost spoiled their TdF in a single mountain stage. Unseen before.
2014; They wasted Nieve for a struggling Porte. For what? For nothing. Complete...
Brailsford may be good at science and track, but has no idea of doing a best possible GT in a tactical way. He still has no idea after what? 5 years in the WT?

Something is up. Climbing faster than Armstrong one year and getting beaten by french guys the next is not normal.

Looks like the sky era is about to end. Thank god for that.

Nieve was miles down on GC through his own ineptitude, not through working for Porte (Thomas has done all the work and is well ahead of Nieve on GC). Anyway, Nieve will now be allowed in breakaways which is his only chance of doing anything here.

The german reporter said it was Nieve. But even if it was Thomas. He also was good in the CG standings.
Still mad...

I am with you. Not because of the same reasons, but the result is the same: I am with you...

Nieve was riding for him today but he wasn't sacrificing himself as he was well down on GC and not good enough to challenge for the stage win. He should have a good chance of getting a stage win now though, hopefully in the Pyrenees.

What? Nieve was sitting pretty. Only 6 mins down in CG (just 3 1/2 behind Porte). If Brailsford thinks 6 mins is much (which isn´t in GTs), he shall go back to track... where he belongs to. Completely wasted a great-in-form Nieve. Boah... man I am annoyed. I really have to cool down.

Maybe Sky weren't too fussed about having an outside chance of a top ten after winning the race the last two years? It was hardly the wrong decision to ride for Porte when he was 2nd on GC. Of course, if Nieve still has to ride for Porte after today then that would be ridiculous.

Ok, what did that do for Porte? Losing "only" 9 mins instead of 12/13? Great.
At least they could have kept on CG rider going (Nieve) and GThomas helping Porte.
I mean it´s not the first time they failed big time during GTs. Actually they bombed it three times in four chances. Complete xxx comes race tactics. All they can is search and look for marginal gains (;))... otherwise bloody rookies (after 5 years in the peloton; FIVE ) come GT rosters and tactics...

You are right about Nieve, plus the guy was really flying in Dauphine,he would have get maybe a place even in top 5.Sky is using strange tactics this days ,but from now on they should go for stage wins.

No, they did it since the beginning. I follow cycling since I was born (ok, a little later), the end of 70s... Never ever did I saw a team with that budget and whatever shady science they use underachieve this big in GTs, basically by stupid tactics and not knowing who their strongest rider DURING a GT is. I can´t believe that. Really, it´s grotesque...
For what the phuck do they have all this docs, scientists, computers, overpaid team leaders, and what the heck else... if they fail to spot the right CG guy to-go-for in 3 out of 4 GTs and/or use strange in-stage tactics (make that 3.5 out of 4 when they almost lost the TdF last year, ifn´t Froome was riding alone for 100 km in alien form).
The worst ever tacticans I witnessed in cycling.
And I don´t phucking care if they win 6 small tours in a row by simply out-watting (yeah, a new word creation for the clinic :D) their opponents. Every monkey can do that trick sitting in the car and yell go, go, go...

Man, I still havn´t cooled down.

LOLZ: Now Sky has 3 riders in the T16-19, instead of having at least one inside T-10. Do they think 16-19 will be allowed into a sucsessful break? What xxx ...

If i think more about it,you are right. They lost a Vuelta in 2011,they ****ed Uran and Henao in Giro 2013 by making them waiting for Wiggins, they screwed that stage leaving Froome alone in Tour 2013,i think they pushed Froome to start that cobbled stage not counting that he was injured, today they ****ed Nieve. It seems that Team Sky problems are coming from the team management, not from the riders themselves after all.

OMG. I completely forgot that. Wasn´t on my radar anymore... geez, that makes it 4.5 misses out of 5. Amazing. In a normal job, without "marginal gains", Brailsford would SHOULD have been F I R E D. The only thing working for him is out-watting opponents from time to time. But this days seem to be gone. Good night Sky. **** off. Go home.

To the 2nd bolded: I know. I never blamed the riders. If they got yelled at from that xxx in the car to wait for a weaker one, they have to...

They have to fire the person who keeps mixing up the pillows.

Are they still keeping up the warming down charade?

... and since we are at it: I was here for balance. No more. Game over. I lift my secret I shared with lemoogle, Hitch and SirLes. From the beginning I thought Sky is doping. I just played the game here, since Sky-Bashing was too much. But there is no more holding back. It was a nice game. Had a hard fight to defend the undefendable. But I came up with some good numbers and half arguments. :D
Personally I feel sorry for Froome that he is used in this dirty game. Someone said plastic-y skin here. It looks really bad. OFC, I don´t believe in miracles going from bottom to first in one summer. Never did, never did with Wiggins, never with Horner getting stronger with the years. It´s all the same. I still have a little faith in the younger riders and those who doesn´t transform from death beds, major sicknesses or any other BS story.

First Jimmy becoming anti-sky (possibly even suspecting that Froome dopes ) and now this. Sky enthusiasts getting scarce.

What a BS, heh? AFAIR, even Vaughters didn´t took that serious. Instead of playing PR games, they should try to learn race tactics when the "marginal gains" are gone. I hope Sky is history, that the whole house of cards comes down. They are xxx, literally...

I don't think that are too many people who watched at least from Lance rising who believe that cycling has changed and now is clean.I think that nothing has changed and nothing will ever change, everything is the same, they just use different methods these days. I'm more pessimistic than you so i don't trust any of those guys in the pro peloton, nor that i blame them. They are just some peons in a bigger game and they do what they have to do to survive in that world.
Well about the Sky bashing i find it too intense:D
