Wow, what a stage! Impressive efforts by Quintana the beast, Hejsedal the figther and Rolland the Eternal Attacker.

Top 10 is already decided, it seems. Congratulations on coming in ninth place, Evans!

Looks like BigMac is right: Ulissi and his team have had a failure of a Giro.

If only Horner were here to salvage something for Lampre... ;)

Wait what???

Ulissi has won TWO freaking stages. It's much more than most riders accomplish in their whole career.

Make some sense.

Poels looks anorexic, what else could be expected on a day like this? The Giro is the GT least suitable to him.

The three remaining Orica Greenedge riders:

111 Tuft Svein Orica GreenEDGE 39:33
139 Hepburn Michael Orica GreenEDGE 44:07
147 Santaromita Ivan Orica GreenEDGE 44:07

they had 3 before the stage if memory serves

when i first checked gazzetta none had come in. then it was just Tuft and i wondered if they were going to send the team car around the final week for 1 rider

Neither Dekker or Scarponi have posted times yet, along with a few others, but apparently Dekker has tweeted an angry tweet about the Stelvio.

Ryder is playing his own game; stay under the radar of fans & media, and claw his way to the top in the last week. Eleven (11) race days ago, he was stuck way back in 165th place. Today, he had Quintana riding on his big wheel. Tomorrow is an easy recovery ride.

But, it's too simple to say he'd be up 3'26" ~without~ the TTT disaster. Dan Martin would be in the hunt, and guys like Koldo Fernandez would be working for them. Ryder also lost a minute in the Montecassino crash.

He wouldn't have received the freedom he has had to make up time if it wasn't for the TTT. The fact is that he's been generally the 8th to 10th best climber. He'll probably finish around there in the end.
