As it's the Giro, it's only ranked number 3 stage.:)
Weather forecast isn't great, with thundery showers in the pm.
Get ready to neutralise those wet descents.
Risk taking forbidden.

No3? Val Martello and Zoncolan are clearly ranked higher, Oropa and Montecampione may as well (as these 2 climbs are much more infamous than Panaretto) and Monte Grappa (+ Barolo) should shape the GC more siginificantly. It might even be the no. 7 :D

But I get it, based on the profiles themselves it's a clear no. 3.

I say Quintana, Ryder, and Rolland go on the attack again and take over the podium. :D That's what I want to happen....don't know if it will, but I think they all deserve it.

Well, to be fair, the top riders in the Tour are often a notch above the Giro contenders hence the race is packed with more explosives to start with. However, we are often let down while the Giro more often delivers.

But hey, remember last time Alpe d'Duez was races! ;)

Lol there is the best climber on planet earth, what else do you want for Giro:confused:

I'm not ready to anoint him that just yet. Froome and Contador still have some say in that department.

Exactly. What important race did he win? A single TdF stage and single Giro stage with controversial circumstances so this one hardly counts since he had just 2 competitors. Wait until he actually beats those who actually achieved something before caliming he is best climber in the world

Perhaps not quite build for the 3 week battle.
So Lampre with 2 stage wins, but nowhere to be seen in GC. Probably not good enough or whats the feeling?

I thought Niemec could fight for a top 10, but it didn't go as planned. Ulissi has done more than enough for Lampre this giro, and Cunego has been, well Cunego

I thnik they should be satisfied

Cadel Evans takes back the maglia rosa.
André Cardoso to go on the break again.

The steadiness of the climb and the 10km of flat before the final climb probably suits him more than some. He needs to do well to stay on the podium.

Dream on Froome puts a minute plus into Quintana yesterday. If Froome was atthis Giro he would win by 8 minutes if he went all out every stage attacking with about 4-5 kms to go it would not happen though.

IMO they are better GT riders than Nairo thats really obvious (not only cuz of tt),but they are slightly slightly worse climbers.

Fine. Not going to miss your responses. Dont see anything more ridiculous in my posts than a claim that someone who won 1 GT stage (and there are multiple designed for climbers) to be the best in the world at anything.

If you think the climber ability is measured by number of wins you emberass yourself again.
Its like saying (in spring 2012) that Froome only won 1 stage in GT so thats why he is worse climber than Evans before that Tour lol

They can always look at their fellow italians Cannondale if they feel bad about only 2 stage wins :p

Yes, but at that Tour he PROVED to be the best climber. Quintana didnt prove that so far. I am not saying he cant become one or prove to be such already but he didnt. And discounting yesterdays farce, it was Aru who had better combined time on mountain stages than Quintana and won a stage in much more impressive way. Yet you dont see people claiming he is the best

I wonder you are not on my ignore list as most of your posts are concentrated on dispraise and vilifying colombian riders. Its even worse than any form of hype or fanboyism.
