Moreno is having a really poor Giro. Not even on the steep finishes he did mcuh except Asisi

Wonder if he's feeling sick or what's going on. Cause he wasn't nearly as bad the last two GT's he's done

Vande Velde is good. Only Basso and Pozzovivo has got a domestique, and Uran-Henao, but that's a bit different.

Wondering about that too.... Strange contrast: looked bad on Mortirolo yet really strong.

You guys haven't watched Hesjedal much or just paying attention on other things?

He always has the same style. He always looks like he is struggling. He looked like that in all previous climbs too. And in previous GT's and climbing stages.
He's Gesinks canadian twin brother

TDG and Nieve Dropping Cunego and Amador!

Too fast too soon. De Gendt will blow on the steeper parts.

You have to go ride this climb within your own limits or you will surely pay the price.

He's a sideshow now. The favourites know that.

Good move by de Gendt to drop Cunego and Amador. Now, it's easier for alliance - selling the stage for Nieve in exchange for equal pulls.

Cunego has been riding his own pace for the whole Giro.

If he cannot get back up to Nieve and De Gendt, he should drop back and ride with Scarponi (might not be *for* him, but just being there might be of some assistance to Scarponi).

He was suffering on the flat for a bit. No doubt. You could see it on his way of riding as well.

Looks like he's recovering.

He trains on the Stelvio, so he knows whats ahead.

De Gendt is a born attacker, just look at what he did last year. He knows what he's doing. I'm not sure if he's strong enough to hold off the favourites but I really don't see him blowing up he's done this climb many times before.

Why would he want to sell this kind of stage?

More grimacing around the mouth etc. than I've seen before. Body language is always the same, but face looks really stressed here. Maybe wrong, though.

Amazing how de Gendt run here is upending the Garmin TT scenario for last stage. It all looked so determinant, till de Gendt's run. :D

VandeVelde was fine for early part, but as soon as it got steeper he started to lose time. Can't match TDG/Nieve anymore...
