That's steep for 800m and it will feel longer because of the sprint to the base, and then the first steep 400m will probably be a sprint leadout to the chicane.
I don't think it's 800m. I mean you've got the first part around 300m with what 4% average? Then 400m of really steep climbing, but only 400m. And then the last part at 6%.

I'm still putting my money on MVDP. That last hill is only steep for 400m. The rest is fine. How much time can one really take there? If Vingegaard follows Pogacar, he won't work with him. If Pogacar drops everyone, they'll all work together to get him back. I don't see Pogacar finishing solo here.

It's about 800 m at like 11% (with super tough finish) after already uphill section and a turn (initial speed won't be high). Plus total elevation gain is 120+ m. IMO this climb is around MVP's limit. I think if Pogacar & Vingegaard fully engage they can drop MVP here but the margin will be small and the Dutch can still win (depending on circumstances/cooperation/downhill type etc).

I keep misreading the graph. I thought it was only 400m.

Jonas also said they are giving Wout the chance today. Which seems crazy if they are trying to win the Tour and beat Pogacar.

You dont see UAE saying they are riding for an Almeida stage win today. Visma always unable to focus properly.
There's a cost to be made when you have WVA in your team. He'll do whatever he can for his leader, but he also needs his own chances sometimes. Or you can see him ride in a different jersey for another team.
