That must be the first photo finish between two teammates (at least at this level) since Kwiatkowski and Carapaz crossed the finish line hugging each other in that godawful final mountain stage of the 2020 Tour.
Must be said that day Van Aert and Roglic sprinted it out for 3rd as well.

I guess women's cycling could need that. Some drama.

SD Worx is just too dominant, it's no fun. And although I think Vollering is a nice person: what was that with Faulkner? "Make way, here we come?"
Just as you said - "Make way, here we come?". And there was nothing wrong or unusual with her behaviour. Vollering just let her know she's there and Faulkner had no reason to block her, while she was slower.

It was nothing. She tried to pass on the right side and just as she was about to, Faulkner drifted right, presumably from fatigue and unknowing where Vollering was.
And it was a light tap, really the proper way to signal where you are.

You can find reasons to give team orders, but aren't they both basically team leaders?

I think team orders could easily be "secure 1-2, and no hard feelings at team party"

Basically the world's most important "sign sprint".
