So let me be clear: I believe Pogacar will decisively beat VDP next Sunday. Of course, this is my wish, and there’s no guarantee it will happen, but it’s something I truly hope for.

I also truly believe Pogacar will triumph over Vingegaard in the Tour de France. It might not happen, but that doesn’t stop me from sharing my opinion—after all, this is a forum where we’re encouraged to express our thoughts without attacking anyone.

And by the way, I think Vingegaard has a certain emotional fragility. He himself has admitted to past confidence issues. This isn’t a disrespectful opinion, just a personal observation. Everyone is free to disagree, and if someone believes I’m wrong, I will respect that opinion, even if I don’t share it.

This is a Pogacar thread, so this is the place for us diehard fans to talk and share what we hope will happen. Every time someone says they want Pogacar to win decisively, there's always someone: “Ohhhhhh, that’s so disrespectful.”

It’s really annoying.
Yea, well, in a discussion about cycling and cycling preferences, you have to be able to roll with the punches. Otherwise, everyone is on constant gaurd not to offend anyone and that makes things bland and boring. Opinions differ, but if everytime someone disagrees with mine I feel disrespected, it becomes a really unsavory affair.

Sooo.... what happened with UAE today in DdV? Bjerg looks somewhat good but where are the others? I know Politt crashed (hope he's okay) but where are Wellens and Narvaez? Distanced by crosswinds? No good legs? Saving themselves for RvV?

He was 2 seconds slower than 2023 MVP. It's game on!
If you're referring to Carrefour, they weren't racing that segment all-out until Wout attacked the Degenkolb crash.

Still impressive, of course, along with some of the other segments.

Yes, I agree, it's impressive, considering all the segments he rode.

Also, Pog needs a sunny day to improve his chances.

Yes, but we also don't know how Pogacar went in Carrefour. Did he go all out? Pogacar already told if he published all his rides, most strava records would be beaten. Of course he is hiding his true shape, this is why I think his ride in Carrefour is very telling. 2 seconds slower than MVP and he wasn't probably going all out.
