He won.. but I actually didn't think he looked that good today.. Vingegaard look super strong..

I wouldn't be surprised if Vingegaard wins this race. but Pogacar wins the Tour..
It would also make sense if Pogacar is a bit behind his tour shape.

Once again. After riding on Pogacar's wheel who had to close the gap againts two attacks from Jorgenson.
I know that, and I know that pog's level was great and his team was bad, but to me the most important takeaway from today is the level vingegaard had on the flat and in the sprint. If that translates to climbs this, and considering his low weight, he's gonna be a huge problem for pog. I also expect vingegaard to be be super strong on flat TT, my expectation after today is that he will be on par or maybe slightly better than pog on the flat TT

Pogacar will improve a lot after Dauphiné. I'm sure he took a week off (in May) because he was too good too soon.

The question is where is Narvaez again? Wellens had a flat so it's expected from him but Narvaez is a complete joke. He should not be at the Tour.

maybe I'm exaggerating, but again vingegaard is making me worried
People love to underestimate Vingegaard. He beat Pogacar twice in the Tour and there are folks still suggesting Vingegaard is not in the same tier as Pogacar (he is, in GTs of course).

He actually was and he said it in the post race interview. It is expected. He covered attacks from Jorgenson and Tullett. I told you before. Pog is not superman and Visma can work him over in the Tour.
to me pog has to be smart at the tour, he has only one wheel to focus on, that's vingegaard. At the tour he's the only one that can beat him, if pog looses any energy following others he will risk a lot. Pog's chances at the tour are heavily dependent on how smart he will be, the worst thing he can do is what he did in the past: loosing unnecessary energy for small attacks on short hills or for sprints

I don't forget that, don't get me wrong, pog's level was super high, but to me vingegaard was more impressive, keep in mind how much lighter vingegaard is, on the flat and in the sprint he was incredibly impressive
Jorgenson is world top 10. Those gaps Pogacar had to close were incredibly difficult.

What worries me is the UAE as a team. I've been saying this since the Giro.

Adam Yates had a bad year, Sivakov was bad in the mountains. And the last time we saw Narvaez crash-free was in a terrible Paris-Nice race. By the way, where was Narvaez today? If he can't mark Jorgenson, will he mark Van Aert in the Tour?

Only Almeida seems strong.

He closed easily that gap, not like MVP in PR.

Narvaez's performance since Australia has been terrible. He had an accident at De Ronde, but not at Paris-Nice, and his performance was very poor.

Hopefully Soler and Sivakov are in decent shape or else Stage 7 will be very ugly for Pogi.

I don't even want to think about what you thought after Lioran

Friendly remember that Remco was better at sprinthan Pogacar after beating Van Aert.
Let's not jump to conclusions.

UAE's performance as a team is a symptom of the entire year. Especially Adam Yates and Narvaez.

Remco and Vingo made sure pogi was a protected rider. There was nothing left for the team to do but drop back and stay out of trouble

Obviously, he won't be following Jorgenson's wheel in the Tour.
This is different. Jorgenson has won Paris-Nice twice and was second in Dauphiné last year behind Roglic.

Pogacar deserves more confidence. Don't think he's lost the Tour if he doesn't win by a minute after the first stage.
