to me pog has to be smart at the tour, he has only one wheel to focus on, that's vingegaard. At the tour he's the only one that can beat him, if pog looses any energy following others he will risk a lot. Pog's chances at the tour are heavily dependent on how smart he will be, the worst thing he can do is what he did in the past: loosing unnecessary energy for small attacks on short hills or for sprints
Obviously, he won't be following Jorgenson's wheel in the Tour.
This is different. Jorgenson has won Paris-Nice twice and was second in Dauphiné last year behind Roglic.

Pogacar deserves more confidence. Don't think he's lost the Tour if he doesn't win by a minute after the first stage.

I'm reminded of the first stage of the Giro. Pogacar was overtaken by Narvaez and Schachman. The rest is history.

He seems to have lost some punch on shorter climbs in exchange for better climbing. First stage of the Giro, San Lucca...

Who is gonna replace them?
We need to wait for the high mountains to see how strong is UAE.
Unfortunately, Yates has already looked bad in the high mountains of the Giro.
Narvaez was bad in Paris-Nice. We haven't seen more of him in the mountains. but I don't think he'll improve much.

This is a myth, and it is spread all over the world right now.

The fact is simpler, he has improved more in long time efforts.
I don't see it that way. I think it's the only thing that hasn't improved, and has even gotten worse.
But in return, hehas improved in other aspects that make him better.

I'm not just saying this today. Last year, it seemed that way to me at various points during the season.

That's why today's situation doesn't worry me as @rafa92 says.

heaven help us if the UAE team finds form. They've already won 42 days.
6 between Abruzzo and Asturias.
Another 10-15 between riders who won't even be in the Tour.

The important thing is the climbing levem of Yates, Naravez, and Sivakov. Adam very poor this year.

Visma has won half of them, but one of those victories is the Giro, with a record climb of Finestre by Simon.

By the way, UAE was also the team with the most victories in 2023. The same year that Visma won all 3 GTs, taking all the podium at the Vuelta.

I agree with you but it's still impressive.

The climbing level of the domestics will not determine if Vingegaard or Pogacar will win the TDF. If these two are in form then they will dominate the race. You refer to 2023. That was a case of Pogacar having an injury affected preparation. He could have had the best climbing domestics of all time but he was not going to win that TDF.
