with all respect to jonas, but easiest tour ever.in large part, cause of rabobank tactics, which plays directly into pogacars hand, lmoa.its hilarius really.thye watched cycling for past 2 years and decided to once again pursue kilojul tactic, lol.this means.they dont understand, why jonas won back in 22/23,nor they understand why will they ship 10 minutes this year.pog hasnot been tired for 2 years and thye go with fatigue, lmaooo.

I never ever thought it was remotely even worth considering. But now?
If its a easy Giro like last year (but win by one or 2 mins to save yourself rather than 10), he's shown he can back up the tour.
So then he just has to hope for a kind route and weak field at the vuelta.
Problem with ditching the classics and preparing 3 GTs is unironically his own team - riders like Del Toro, Ayuso, Almeida etc. would want to lead some races. Maybe they get all the one weekers then lol

Wellens: If Pog hadn't crashed, he would have won with 4 minutes

Seems my 3 minutes were on the conservative side maybe?
I don't know where he said it, but it's completely reasonable. 4 minutes seems too much, but he could have gone 40-45 seconds faster if in perfect condition. It's simply amazing what pog did the day after an hard crash but his power numbers were below his best days and honestly pog this year should beat all his power numbers considering how he prepared the tour compared to last year.

Yup. That is why I am not expecting a mindblowing MTT either. Too soon after the crash

I'm still trying to figure out the Y1, didn't Pog use V5 in stages 6-8 of the Dauphine? 7 is obvious V5 every time, but 6 & 8 look like stages he would use Y1 on the tour.

It's funny, the whole year I've thought he looks much worse on it compared to V5, and that for example with the same energy levels at the bottom of the Cipressa he would've dropped MVP on the V5, but of course the watts saved on the flat are pretty invisible and Y1 has to save a massive amount.
