Del Toro is getting a very, very strange, bizarre early education!! He went to Giro in support of Juan Ayuso, found himself as the accidental leader, went to Tour of Austria in support of native, Felix Grosschartner who couldn't keep a wheel.. Felix couldn't follow Rafal Majka or Del Toro as they set pace and finally, Felix and team told Del Toro to just race. Pogacar will likely be in flying form if indeed he decides to race in the Vuelta, Because of the way Pogacar races it's likely a really beneficial experience for Del Toro to race with him..certainly Pogacar's power creates ample opportunities. Look no further than Wellens winning yesterday.. Pog position has majority following his every move and if Wellens jumps majority of UAE don't react and join, Pogacar's behavior is the predictor , same thing will happen for Del Toro and others in Tadej is again dominant in Spain.. Del Toro races much better with a set plan and non leadership role.
Del Toro's season started rather early this season, since mid February. I'd be surprised if they didn't shut him down sooner than later.

The only time when a Jumbo/Visma person has been what you could call disrespectful towards Pogi was when Dumoulin called him a "miner", but even that was sort of a backhanded compliment about how fast he still was despite his abysmal position on the TT bike. Other than that, can't think of a single instant. But refresh my memory.
False. In 2020 Jumbo´s Tour documentary, they speak badly of him and they make insinuations, it won't be the last time.

Plugge criticized him (about the pool ). They even said that he wasn´t professional.
Benoot laughing at him in Loze.
They're chasing him on the Champs-Élysées.

At the 2023 Tour, Vingegaard called him insecure for attacking too much.

Last year, Jorgenson made clinic insinuations. Is it clear why Pogacar can't stand him?

Dumoulin, Van Hooydonck, and Dekker, several people close to Visma, are constantly criticizing him. They've called him everything on the television programs they collaborate on.

And on Twitter, Podcast, there are accounts, some of which are known to have been paid by Visma, that have disrespected him for years.

Now he's doing races without level. His biggest rival in Austria was a EF rider who hasn't won anything.

A second GT is much more demanding. It´s no recommended to do two so young looking for the future.

A schedule shift a little.. In his first year they sent him to Tour Down Under and tapered him off after Vuelta, where got a couple of stage top tens but he was learning.
For him to do Giro, 5 stages in Austria and Vuelta might be too much.. That said, if Tadej makes even a hint that he wants him to do it, Del Toro will jump..
Isaac loves Brandon McNulty, Majka, Politt and Pogacar..he will do anything they say.

Pogacar likes the bike so much, that he used it in the UAE Tour this year and then never used it again.

During the year only a few riders used the bike. Yates, Oliveira brothers and sometimes Wellens.

Every cycling related brand uses the Tour to release new stuff. All of a sudden every UAE rider starts using the Y1RS... Of course is promotion. It's clear as day.
I understand your point but they are willing to risk a TdF win just to promote a bike?

But keep in mind, he didn't go to Austria for leadership, he got it for the second time this year, fell into his lap, he wasn't looking for it.
If he goes for Vuelta he will avoid the press to avoid being asked questions ( stupid questions) about inner team rivalry. There is a bizarre harmony at UAE on the surface.. w Ayuso, Pogacar and Ameida..what happened at the Giro was strange to say the least.. I don't know why the most logical reemergence of Juan Ayuso would be at Vuelta helping Tadej..Lots of reports of bad blood and Ayuso is signed until 2028 currently..Also Jan Christen is signed for UAE until 2030!! And he hasn't raced since June!! Jan is also under the wing of Pogacar, who helped him as a teenager..UAE has bunch of arrows in their quiver

This is an internet exclusive.. Almost mind blowing and mind numbing at the same time Del Toro was on a bumpy race route today,
He raced, climbed and won on Y1Rs, Wellens, same story, bike did everything he asked of it..
Pogacar's bike choice is the standard, these 3 guys didn't use the wrong bike.. Full stop..
Pogacar can use anything he wants.. and he chooses the Y1Rs because he likes it, it likes him back..
There is no controversy other than the weight weenies in the internet stratosphere.. If it doesn't work.. The elite guys won't use it!!
Any of these guys can gain @3-500 grams from a meal.. Lose the same after a sit down in the bathroom.. People, not UAE stars are making a big deal out of something they don't understand.. I can absolutely guarantee that Pogacar is not trying anything unproven at TDF he is only racing on equipment he has complete confidence in, no experiments..

I also agree with you but @carolina has a point too.
Why didn't they race with this Y1Rs bike in the classics?

A single instant? These are matters of opinion and perceptions. But Visma claiming Pogacar could not hold Vingegaard on long, hard climbs at threshold was disrepectful IMO. Last year Grischa Niermann was saying this on the race radio on PdB to motivate his rider until Pogi threw it back in their faces on the road. That stage was everything Visma were telling us Vingegaard was better at: Hot and hard and had better recovery. And Pogacar still took over a minute that day.

I saw it. Pogi didn’t want to go with the break out of respect for those held up by the crash and didn’t want 3 rabo into that break either. So he marked out the strongest one.

Later Vingo was at the front and was following Jorg too. It looked like a plan to attempt to bridge to the break. Pogi shut it down too
Be that as it may, Politt already said in a podcast they have a blacklist. And I already heard three riders in the peloton (not from Visma) say they think so as well.
But whatever, every team has a blacklist. It might not physically hang in the team bus, but they all have one at one time or another.

Probably the easiest answers are different seat posts, different chain and seat stays..if you ever have ridden some of these bikes majority of them really suck..and longer seat post is way more comfortable, night and day.. Aero seat posts suck..and most aero and TT bikes suck..they are so stiff just beat out your soul and dental work.. And with large cross section wheels, 50s and above bikes can be brutal, harsh is an understatement. Colnago V4 and V5Rs are way easier to ride and don't beat you up, these guys would never put up with any feel like an old Vitus, were you can physically see and feel bottom bracket shell moving when you pedal!! You feel the bike flexing before you even ride it!! So that's the definition of a noodle.. And other bikes from Cervelo and Cipollini with big tubes, stiff stays and aero seatposts are uncomfortable garbage for me personally.. And wheels above 45 for me are uncomfortable and energy and aerodynamic benefits are nullified by discomfort that comes with..
If UAE and Colnago have the the bikes dialed in, you have to assume they do.. You are getting aero- wattage benefits and riders feel like it's comfortable enough and not to heavy to be a liability on moderate climbing. I my assumption on that will possibly be disproved soon if Pogacar and others keep using and winning on a bike that was billed as an aero bike..
Tons of strange stuff has already happened this year with equipment.. @10k uphill time trial and guys come out using TT bikes, don't spend any time with arms in the skis and instead most of the time out on the handles which are same or similar width to regular road bike handlebars... I was puzzled..
I don't know what the feel is of the confluence of toptube, seatpost and then again the unconnected finish of what was the seattube, which Colnago has looking more like a partial rear fender on the Y1Rs..so maybe with all that's going on the bike feels complaint and comfortable.. Which is difficult always.. I personally hate all aero bikes I ridden because they are just too stiff, make me want old soft wheels with no to tire pressure..

There will be times it won’t make sense to chase someone. So this doesn’t always apply. Pogi had to pick one of those three to disallow in the break. Jorg probably the strongest of the three so no. Or he suffers from gingervitis and pogi don’t like him!
